This is correct. The announcement can be heard during the first encounter in the ARC Complex. Apparently there are even a bunch of stupid meme videos around it. Scoreboard wernergoldberg - 1 point switchblade - 1 point JadingTsunami- 1 point noisomedead - 1 point Nockson - 1 point thundercunt - 1 point SilverMiner - 1 point Q8. The Mancubian Candidate - MAP07 of Valiant - is built around a trick concept, which poses a specific requirement to the player. What is the requirement?

Quick and correct too. Finally after 7 participants, someone gets their second point. Scoreboard wernergoldberg - 2 points switchblade - 1 point JadingTsunami- 1 point noisomedead - 1 point Nockson - 1 point thundercunt - 1 point SilverMiner - 1 pointQ9. All Doom, Heretic, Hexen, Strife games have a -cdrom parameter. What is its purpose and how does it achieve that?

When the game is booted from cd, it's not an option to write savegames and configs to the folder where the game resides.
-cdrom means these files will be written to hard drive

Right on. Also, with this parameter, the diskette icon for 'loading' is changed to a CD icon.
Scoreboard wernergoldberg - 2 points SilverMiner - 2 points switchblade - 1 point JadingTsunami- 1 point noisomedead - 1 point Nockson - 1 point thundercunt - 1 point
Q10. In the last level of Hexen: Deathkings of the Dark Citadel, the monsters attack in waves, with "bosses" in between. Which kind of monsters and bosses appears in each wave?

wave 1: slaughtaurs, evil fighter
wave 2: dark bishops, evil cleric
wave 3: reivers, evil mage

The answer is precise, accurate and exact. The evil guys ("Deathkings") have names (Zedek, Traductus, Menelkir), but I'm not actually sure if the ones you meet in the expansion are supposed to be the same ones already defeated in the main campaign. Scoreboard wernergoldberg - 2 points SilverMiner - 2 points noisomedead - 2 points switchblade - 1 point JadingTsunami- 1 point Nockson - 1 point thundercunt - 1 pointQ11. Where can an adapted version of IDMAP01.WAD, American McGee's deathmatch-only PWAD, be found?

Hmm. Tough pick, because Xeep answered first, but Nocksons's answer is indeed more accurate.
The unmodified Doom map, BTW, was added to DWANGO1.WAD; not sure about D!ZONE.
Scoreboard wernergoldberg - 2 points SilverMiner - 2 points noisomedead - 2 points Nockson - 2 points switchblade - 1 point JadingTsunami- 1 point thundercunt - 1 point
Q12. What is the most likely part that will stump a player who started playing vanilla DOOM II, not realizing there is a run button?

getting the rocket launcher secret in map01?

Post by dr_st on Dec 20, 2023 5:39:37 GMT -5
Granted they will not be able to get that secret, but I doubt that would stump most players who are not aware of the run button. Most of them would simply not realize a secret existed there in the first place.

switchblade is correct. It is impossible to get the red key, and therefore, complete MAP02, without running. Scoreboard wernergoldberg - 2 points SilverMiner - 2 points noisomedead - 2 points Nockson - 2 points switchblade - 2 points JadingTsunami - 1 point thundercunt - 1 pointQ13. What objects were the USB flash drives in the physical boxes of Sigil and Sigil II, respectively, shaped like?

One is wrong, and one is only half-right.
In other words - there are two different shapes; it's not the same for both packages.
Feel free to try again.
