I don't think the separation would have helped at all, if changes have to be made to the forum, a strike system with clearly defined terms would probably work better.

Warnings issued by proboards have been mentioned, it might help to know exactly what the offending content was.

Something I've wrestled with lately is my principles being at odds with my comfort in certain online environments. I'm a free speech guy and catty edgelord but it seems the forums I participate in that allow that behavior have dwindling populations which in turn affects the overall tone of the site, with the cultures becoming increasingly and unironically intolerant. I originally escaped to these places from humorless moralizing scolds for the purpose of freedom in self-expression, but now I'm left asking myself what's the point in having these places for posting my edgy drawings when I start only getting laughs for the wrong reasons. Too chud for the cucks and too cucked for the chuds. I'm referring to a couple websites made for refugees of specific subreddits that were banned that I used to enjoy participating in. To a lesser extent though, this overall sentiment can extend to DB. 

I think for me, I have to start posting more carefully in a way that fosters the kind of environment I want to participate in, not just here, but all the way across the board. In the past I've been very flippant online with rudeness and impulsive arguing-over-nothing, which can bother my conscience even hours later.

This ended up being more of a diary post, I couldn't quite figure out how to wrap these general musings back to DB specifically with a tidy bow, but I figure it's a relevant enough ponderance to post it instead of just erasing everything and lurking away into the dark.
