The temporary ban may have caused him to just forget about this site and never come back, who knows. He used to visit this website daily, but his last visit seems to be about half an hour after the ban.

When does the ban end?

Can one of the admins tell him that he's been unbanned and that everything's okay now? He probably thinks he's gone forever. He was a really cool and active guy, it would be a shame to lose him.

How can he look at his private messages if he's not gonna visit this site ever again? The thing is, admins have his email ID and they can use it to contact him, considering it's not against Proboards' TOS.

I suspect he might be the kind of person that would never come back after a temporary ban. Simply out of principle.

I strongly, non-negotiably disagree with the ban. One of my posts makes it obvious that I didn't initially want to reply to obvious provokation, but changed my mind after realization it (the post I was replying to) will mislead a future lurker into attributing mass exodus of forum members to me. Thus it would present exodus as a fault of administration rather than a disagreement between old-timers on what DBPs stand for. A rebuttal was thus warranted, but for attempting such a rebuttal I was - surprisingly and undeservedly - banned.

Thus I will respond by no longer countering any future attempts at defamation, false allegations, raising panic or promoting schisms directed at these boards or DBPs. For contributing Doom-wise, I will consider other forums in preference to these boards.

40oz is right on one instance, however - whether and when I choose to return, will be of my own volition. I have more important matters to attend to - in respect of real-life action, activism and the like.

But there is one matter here on the forum I need to address quickly:
good-old, you have the uncanny ability to obtain insight into other people's mind as if they were your own. An ability that would be extraordinary developed for a woman your age - even moreso for a man. I hope you don't waste it by going on to live an ordinary live. Be sure to get a good education. Cut the time you spend on Internet - especially non-educational activity. Don't get emotionally involved in dramas, you seem to be prone to it. I hope my words don't come across as an adult talking down on you - you are already more than I was at your age, and I want you to succeed.

good-old, look, bud, if you want to get out of that hellhole you are going to need education. If it is bad where you live, you should work towards studying abroad when you it is time to go to university. If you put years in researching that you might very well find a way, especially if you are good at finding a way around the internet.

I understand that you have feelings of helplessness that prevents you from doing anything that would be beneficial to you but looks like other people's agenda. However, if you start working towards the goal of escaping your country, education will be your agenda, not theirs. By striving for that secret desire, you will overcome your feelings of helplessness.
