Cacodemon is a safe bet, maybe the Lost soul and the Revenant too.

Doomguy, cacodemon and pain elemental. Correct. Here is one plush Pain Elemental with pierced ears, learning Japanese: Scoreboard SilverMiner - 4 points Nockson - 2 points rancidsam - 2 points switchblade - 2 points lunchlunch - 1 point matador - 1 point Xeep-Eep - 1 point
Q14. Mention three difference between the Cacodemon of Doom (2016) and that of Doom Eternal. One in appearance, one in its attacks, one in strategies against it.

Never played Doom Eternal (finished D2016 once), but from watching some YT reviews I know that cacodemon in DE looks more like its original version (red skin in particular), and to kill it you need to shoot it into the mouth and then perform a glory kill which involves its eye. Don't know about attack differences, but let's say it bites differently, maybe inflicting more damage?

Never played both new dooms, but from what I've seen I guess:
DE caco is brighter in red and has sharper looking eye.
New strategies involve grappling hook to get close to perform glory kill
It can strafe while shooting fireballs

Nockson answer is close enough. The Cacodemon in DE is indeed more red and has a visible pupil in the eye, like the original version. Shooting it in the mouth specifically to stagger it quickly is a new mechanic (you can use a grenade or a sticky bomb shotgun mod), and it makes dealing with them much easier than if you simply lay it on them with your gun. Ballista works well too, but you only get that towards the middle of the game. Its bite can indeed be more damaging, mostly because of increased range and the frequency they can deliver it. Scoreboard SilverMiner - 4 points Nockson - 3 points rancidsam - 2 points switchblade - 2 points lunchlunch - 1 point matador - 1 point Xeep-Eep - 1 pointDon't have much time today, so this one should be a freebie: Q15. What minor visual bug in the final boss ("Icon of Sin") is present in Doom II, and has been fixed in both WADs of Final Doom?

I don't know but could it be the thing where textures kind of wrap around for like half a pixel and it looks weird? Doom E1M8 has a similar thing on the final teleporter.

I don't know if it counts as a violation of "answers should not be looked up" rule (feel free to ignore my post then), but I've just played all three MAP30s and the only thing I see is a minor texture error with the Icon's right horn - there's a grey line across it in Doom II. Never noticed that before in my 28+ years of playing Doom.

xeepeep Indeed it is a texture wrap-around. Dunno about 'half a pixel', but it's 8 map units. The left side of the wall (right side of the face) is 8 units wider than the texture so it wraps around. This causes the grey line Nockson mentioned. The error spans the full height of the "icon", but is indeed mostly visible on the horn. Scoreboard SilverMiner - 4 points Nockson - 3 points rancidsam - 2 points switchblade - 2 points Xeep-Eep - 2 points lunchlunch - 1 point matador - 1 pointStaying with classic Doom for now... Q16. Explain what the -left and -right command-line parameters which were removed in DOOM v1.2 used to do.

Serpents. In heretic serpent is what dsparil, the final boss sits on, and in hexen, serpent is a common enemy, coming in green and brown colors

thundercunt is correct. The afrits are definitely inspired by the gargoyles, just like the dark bishops are by disciples of D'Sparil, but they are not the same creatures.
