There's another way - to use a source port which marks teleporters on the automap.

While the source port trick is a clever one, the torch color sequence is indeed the intended approach.
Scoreboard Nockson - 2 points SilverMiner - 2 points lunchlunch - 1 point matador - 1 point rancidsam - 1 point
Speaking of source ports...
Q8. List at least five Doom source ports that were released for MS-DOS. This may include ports that were forks of other ports. The original engine does not count. Different versions of the same port are counted as one.

xeepeep gets on the scoreboard! There are also EDGE, MBF, Vavoom, and probably a few others I forgot or was not aware of. Scoreboard Nockson - 2 points SilverMiner - 2 points lunchlunch - 1 point matador - 1 point rancidsam - 1 point Xeep-Eep - 1 pointQ9. Which monster cannot be glory-killed in Doom (2016)?

Not a monster. It cannot harm the player and does not appear in the monster codex. Arachnotrix (or something like that), the final boss? Spider Mastermind. Nope. Actually, if I remember correctly, the only way to finish off any of the bosses is via a glory kill. Correct. Scoreboard Nockson - 2 points SilverMiner - 2 points lunchlunch - 1 point matador - 1 point rancidsam - 1 point Xeep-Eep - 1 point switchblade - 1 pointWhile on the subject of monsters... Q10. Which two custom enemies were included in the Scythe 2 megawad?

Yes indeed.
Scoreboard Nockson - 2 points SilverMiner - 2 points rancidsam - 2 points lunchlunch - 1 point matador - 1 point Xeep-Eep - 1 point switchblade - 1 point
Still continuing the monster track..
Q11. What are the 3 ways in which a Nightmare Imp from Doom 64 differs from the normal Imp in that game?

I played like two levels of Doom 64 because it's boring lol but let's say 1) black coloured; 2) more health; and 3) hmmm maybe can resurrect himself?

Never played D64, but can guess: can be semi-invisible, have more health and fires different projectiles?

Nightmare imp is drawn in subtractive colors, shoots faster and has more health

So you can be excused, because the first nightmare imps appear on level 3 LOL. Anyhow... most of the answers so far are partially correct, but as far as I know, no fully correct answer has been posted. So, feel free to try again. Anyone can re-answer.

I've just played. Nightmare imps are translucent, they throw violet projectiles, and have less pain chance

I've already looked for the correct answer on the Wiki (to check if I was wrong with my guess), so I won't reanswer.

Nightmare imps are translucent, they throw violet projectiles, and have less pain chance This is correct. They are also faster, and their projectiles are faster too. Like a normal Doom imp on Nightmare. There is a theory (unconfirmed AFAIK) that this is the reason for their name. Scoreboard SilverMiner - 3 points Nockson - 2 points rancidsam - 2 points lunchlunch - 1 point matador - 1 point Xeep-Eep - 1 point switchblade - 1 pointQ12. Which 2 procedures in the original Doom source handle special actions tied to tag 666? A description of the procedures' functionality is sufficient if you don't remember their exact names.

Don't know the details, but one lowers floors after all mancubi are dead, and the other raises floor after killing all arachnotrons (as in MAP07: Dead Simple).

A_Bossdth and A_KeenDie. The first one checks if all mancubi are dead on map07 and then lowers 666 floors to lowest, and A_KeenDie checks if all species who have that pointer are dead, and then opens 666 doors

the other raises floor after killing all arachnotrons (as in MAP07: Dead Simple). Sadly, that's for Tag 667.

I'll give you the point once you recall what A_BossDeath does with tag 666 in Ultimate Doom (it's not strictly a Doom II function).

what A_BossDeath does with tag 666 in Ultimate Doom at e1m8 it checks if all barons are dead, and if so, it lowers the 666 floor, at e2m8 - if all cybers are dead - and ends the level, at e3m8 and e4m8 - if all spider masterminds are dead - and also ends the level. at e4m6 it opens a 666 door when cyber is defeated

All correct, except at E4M8 it doesn't end the level, but lowers the 666-tagged sector. Also, at one the E1M8 check included any monsters, not just barons. Changing this behavior broke a few PWADS, like Nuke Mine. Scoreboard SilverMiner - 4 points Nockson - 2 points rancidsam - 2 points lunchlunch - 1 point matador - 1 point Xeep-Eep - 1 point switchblade - 1 pointQ13. Which characters were included in the 2013 Gaming Heads Doom plushies toy line?
