There was nothing genuine in there. If mods were having proper intentions this thread would've been hell'd immideately. far as i've seen everything has been "cleaned up," no one was banned, no public warning issued, so they just made a scene not to outright call out half of the community (aka trans poc == groomers). cute and funny.wad still going as planned

Baby steps. It's DW after all. The fact it was even called out publicly, particularly with a "you can't hide behind being a trans poc" sentiment is a social nudge in the right direction. I won't lie and say I'm not disappointed there wasn't a ban and zero tolerance statement but in today's social climate, well. We are were we are and cultures don't change overnight. It's a long messy slog.

Damn, a lot of community drama. It's above my pay grade to separate the goop from the soup though, not worth it, not enough energy. I must note though, I've snuck penises and dildos into multiple community projects myself. I guess it's okay because I didn't put them next to (allegedly?) pictures of children. I guess it helps that I don't like institutionalized child grooming. Either way, maybe my day of reckoning is coming some day.

But also, I checked out that kiwifarms thread. More than half of it is just Russian teenagers trying to see how much they can spam variations of the word "niggertroon" and complaining about how much themselves suck at Doom, and why it's somehow bad that at least one other person than themselves likes a certain Doom map they don't like. And most of all, I'm disappointed my name doesn't show up there, wtf. You guys ain't helping the culture war you guys think you are a part of.

It is an interesting question about going too far in different art forms - putting sexual paraphernalia in doom maps for example. I sound pretty hypocritical myself sometimes I guess because I am on the side of Frank Zappa when he was arguing against the censorship of speech in music back in the 80s.

The difference for me now is the fact that a very large group has definitely gone too far (rainbow mafia). So whether or not the fact that putting a dildo in a map is bad to me now would be your intent. It used to be easy for me to just say 'it was a joke in bad taste' but now with people saying we need to have books in schools for minors which describe brutal acts of foreign occasion I just can't assume that anymore. Probably change that to won't because I think it is naive at this point to think otherwise considering how many radical events involving kids have happened in the world recently.

I want to just assume that it was a joke but it gets harder/impossible for me to assume that anymore when the rainbow mafia is involved in any community.

Makes little to no difference considering both sites are keep hosting "stunning and brave" paedophiles in drag while the latter are doing their "best" to not get caught and yet happen to spill the beans occasionally.
