Trump has become such a bitch. Just get the fuck out of the way, and let an adult take over. You had four years, and you dropped the ball, fuck off.

www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2024/president/us/2024_republican_presidential_nomination-7548.htmlGOP Primary poll Trump in the lead at a 14.4 spread over his rivals. However, when matched up against against all politicians DeSantis is the most favored. Favorability Ratings: U.S. Political Leaders Favorable Unfavorable Spread Joe Biden 41.0 52.2 -11.2 Donald Trump 37.7 55.3 -17.6 Ron DeSantis 43.2 39.0 +4.2Kamala Harris 38.2 51.4 -13.2 Kevin McCarthy 24.0 39.5 -15.5 Hakeem Jeffries 24.5 25.3 -0.8 Chuck Schumer 26.2 39.8 -13.6 Mitch McConnell 19.4 52.4 -33. Thus as of right now, based on these figures: Trump would win the primary. But DeSantis would win in a hypothetical general election.

From my point of view, I would say DeSantis is certainly to the right of Trump on many issues, at least in his actions.
But the one thing that Trump has over DeSantis is charisma, however, that seems to be waning with old age. Even Jeb! called him low-energy recently.
One thing that may happen though, is that if Trump loses the primary somehow, i think he would run as a 3rd-party, and totally fuck over the GOP in 2024.

Even Jeb! called him low-energy recently. To be fair who gives a shit what Jeb says. Trump is in his mid 70's so yeah, he's far from a spry young man either way. Regardless, if it comes down to Trump v Biden he get's my vote hands down. I'm not opposed to DeSantis but it's an unknown how he'll handle some issues like foreign policy, where Trump did surprisingly well imo.

If it was down to Trump and Biden, I would go with Trump. But I would prefer to see DeSantis, because he seems like he could get a lot more done, without any of the nonsense. To me he comes across as far more serious than Trump. Sure he tipped the court in favor of the GOP, but frankly I don't give a shit about abortion. He had Evangelicals hand pick those judges. In fact, I think it was a determent to the other policies that make sense like fixing crime. For me, the most salient component to any platform in this election is how they are going to address violent crime.

I am partial to the ideas of reducing sentences to non-violent crimes, with the exception of theft*. But in favor of increasing sentences against violent crime.

Part of the reason DeSantis has been so effective is because a governor has a very different set of tools and authorities to work with than a president. Not saying DeSantis wouldn't make a good president just that it's not clear how he would handle the presidential toolset. He could very well end up fumbling like Trump did. As long as DC is flooded with unelected bureaucrats things will be ugly for anyone trying to go a different path than the one they want. Right now I'd say they are both our best options but for different reasons. When it comes to crime, outside of federal crime that's really a state issue so the president doesn't have much impact there other than trying to wield influence.

That's true too, I try not to put too much stock in politicians anymore. If he turns out good, that would be awesome. But if not, I would definitely criticize him for it, just like I did Trump.

I will say Trump is crippling himself by not doing anything outside of truth social. Who seriously even uses truth social?

xeepeepPossibly the only solution to the disaster of modern dating. It used to be not too difficult for an average guy to get with an average girl, now it's practically impossible.

I will say Trump is crippling himself by not doing anything outside of truth social. Who seriously even uses truth social? I've never been on it, nor have I ever visited the site. I voted for Trump in the GOP primary in 2016, I voted for him twice in the general election. I was also enthusiastic about my support for him at the time. But now things are different, I see personally see DeSantis as a more viable candidate for 2024. Also, I was put off by how Trump's been conducting himself especially in recent times. For example the video I posted sounds so whiny to me.

Just as an aside,
For the purposes of our discourse, I hope what I am about to provide will be an example of how both sides of the aisle can have both equally bad actors.
Ted Bundy was a Republican political operative that helped subvert the integrity of the democratic process, and was caught doing so. He is speculated to have take orders directly from the people who helped facilitate the Watergate scandal. As the recent Hulu documentary, "Falling for a Killer" implies.
John Wane Gacy was a Democrat political operative that helped local people in the district. He was well liked and respected in the local party, and even has a picture with the first Lady.
Both of these men are infamous serial killers that raped, and murdered countless victims, including children.

@shibainumaster The advent of dating apps. Every single girl has been programmed from birth to believe they deserve a Prince Charming so women will all only swipe on the top 5-10% of men. Women just have too many options now, not just guys from class or work or friend groups, but the entire world, so why not try and get with a handsome millionaire? Because these men have all of the options, they'll never commit to a woman, just hump n dump, so women are left feeling used and unsatisfied, yet they don't change their behavior. The other 90% of men are also left unsatisfied as we get very few matches and the ones we do get will generally ghost us.
I don't literally think the government should assign mates to citizens, but modern romance is dead and broken. Men and women have never been more antagonistic towards one another in history, thanks most likely to fourth wave feminism, which has resulted in the "all men are oppressors/trash/rapists" type of discourse. The average millennial man has not been laid in the last year according to a semi-recent study. So men are lonely, spend more time online, and gradually develop mysogynistic attitudes.
#MeToo has also led women to not trust men (harassment, rape) and men to not trust women (false accusations). People are scared to interact. I don't even try to flirt with anyone anymore lest it be construed as sexual harassment. People are so broken they can't connect IRL and are forced to try and keep using dating apps. An example of this zeitgeist was a mainstream horror film coming out a year or two ago about a couple meeting in a grocery store instead of an app and the dude turns out to be a serial killer (fucking thanks, Hollywood).

Christ. Get off the dating apps. I'm an ugly old arsehole and I simply do not recognize the world as you people are painting it.
You might be 90% fugly. That actually doesn't matter, that's not the problem. The problem is that you are also acting 90% retarded. Go out and meet people. Relationships with big scary women don't just fucking fall out of the sky, they are the result of knowing people: friends fuck friends, friends fuck their friends friends, friends fuck their friends sisters, friends fuck their friends wives, whatever. Relationships are the result of social interaction; stop outsourcing / skipping the entire socialization period of your lives by relying on the fucking internet and dating apps.
Women mean it when say they are attracted to personality: go out and fucking get one. Or persist in the doomed world which you have created, your call.

dnYou're assuming a lot. I'm not on dating apps as they've never worked, haven't used one since college. I think a lot of dudes have abandoned them. I do socialize, though in my case it's way harder to find someone while sober, when I was drinking it wasn't uncommon to hook up with someone at a party or bar. Regardless of my situation, it's a different world out there now, Grandpa. There's a whole lot less socialization in general. There's fewer clubs to join, it's taboo to try and connect with the opposite sex at work and school, people aren't hooking up with someone from their friend groups as much, and I don't know if you know this, people aren't inviting you up on their porch anymore to play the fiddle and drink moonshine.

You don't use dating apps, you don't break social taboos, you don't play the fiddle, and you don't drink moonshine. And you *still* can't get a woman to find you interesting enough to want to date? spookyghost.gif

Who said anything about women? That's like so 2014. Everyone knows furry femboys are the new wave in 2023 (the current year).
