Hey ToD, just wondering if you had any plans to stop being an infinitely-triggered little bitchboy when it comes to Scifista and later Obsidian making their own spinoff projects? For bring Mr Manly Man Born Male, you sure do like to cry into your body pillow about this a whole lot. I remember it all going down first-hand which is why I know it's a giant steaming pile of bullshit, but well, let's check out the history a little to make sure. Below we see ToD crying about Scifista and Obsidian's spinoffs, even going so far as accusing Scifista (one of the least offensive members on DW, not to mention smartest) of starting his own project out of SPITE, which is a fucking insane accusation:
The only reason the spinoffs were started is because you started asking people for Super Mario World maps and other stupid unrelated shit like a fucking moron who had been dropped on his head as a kid. Scifista went out of his way to make sure it was clear the spinoffs were simply being done because people like the old formula, not to do anything negative "to you" or to your series of wads:

I'm still kinda butthurt from last year. I used to think of Doomkid as a friend but I had a private blowout with him about Kontra Kommando where doomkid wrote me some walls of text with some shitty things in it I never heard from him before and then he deleted his doomerboards account shortly after. Now he's re-registered just to harass timeofdeath here instead of on his own territory. FWIW tod has an account on doomworld and doomkid is a super moderator there so I don't know why the shit flinging has to be on this forum.
My opinion is this is fucking lame as fuck, and I feel like doomkid should probably be banned forever but by judgment is kinda cloudy. Interested in other opinions.

He seems like a good guy, but there were some things that made me think he's actually a hypocrite liar. Shiba had a run-in with him on Discord and he asked Doomkid why he said Shiba made jokes about the war in Ukraine and also asked him to provide any proof like screenshots or whatever. Idk what Doomkid said, but if I remember correctly he told Shiba something like 'fuck off' and just exited the chat. I know Doomkid used to be a part of this community for some time but then had a breakdown and deleted his account. And now he made a new one just to settle the score with ToD or something, I don't know. That shows you he doesn't care about this community in the slightest, so what's the point of keeping him here? |

Doomkid Ok, sorry if I misinterpreted what you said, but where can I see the proof about Shiba? I'm checking 'MM3 is cancelled thread' and there's no screenshots or anything. That's my main concern tbh, because everyone who said stupid shit or got into an argument with a mod might be subjected to the same treatment. Also I just re-read what ToD says in the screenshot and it seems like he got butthurt that people cared about Obsidian's and scifista projects which were inspired by his Doomworld Mega Project more than about his 'OG' project and that's why he started a DMP thread over. Alright, fair enough.

Why do you guys assume that's Doomkid? It looks like a template parody of 40oz's "Joe-Ilya is ruining this forum" rambling rant, with a bitty collage of screenshots that don't really mean much. I've been training Fate-bot-9000 on 40oz posts lately and told it to make a character called Coomkid, but I didn't think of the ramifications. It's even screencaps a fellow cat-poster, but one who's only capable of expressing themself by use of slurs and sources their pride in self-identifying as a domestic terrorist on multiple levels. The neo-pavlovian weather patterns of language are indeed interesting. On my own end though right now, I'm not capable of expressing myself much better, because like 40oz, I just got home from a long day at a coding job. And to unwind, I unironically have a beer bottle up my ass. Priorities.

So Obsidian specifically called his project "Doomworld Maximum(meaningless in this context since there is no maximum on the number of maps) Project" such that it would have the acronym DMP after he publicly assumed, from the screenshot you posted, that ToD wouldn't be doing another DMP because he DIDN'T want to replace him? That's not even the slightest bit suspect? |

Ok had a bite to eat and took a break to chill out a bit so i could read and digest what in the living fuck is going on here.
Doomkid has pretty much aired out this shit way more than i can imagine TimeOfDeath would or should ever need to. All the questions in the post are rhetorical and I cant imagine TimeOfDeath could say or do anything do deescalate this because Doomkid went from 0 to 100 and completely capsized the tone of this thread in one mouseclick.
About the content, I dont blame TOD for being frustrated with Obsidian or scifista. Who cares if TOD isnt leading the project the way you think he should? It's not theirs. It's his. It's really frustrating when people try to steal what you've created. Anyone whos ever created any sort of intellectual property or brand name would be able to attest to that.
i completely glazed over the innocuous quoted sentence in the OP and even having read it, it does not look very loaded at all. I'm not seeing the subtext Doomkid is reading at all, even with the snipped posts to reference. If I had to pick who is handling this issue with class i would 110% pick timeofdeath over this "registered just to make one expletive laden post" that he dumped here.
Placing forum warnings on your community members is not some testament to your toughness, nor does it make anyone badass to submit to your threat to change their behavior just so they dont get kicked out by some dork internet mall cop. If my forum moderator makes any member feel disrespected and the member chooses to leave, I dont think that means theyre a baby. I think it means they have self respect.
The warning against the 'awesome' comment was a mark being a transgender ally. But today, the steps youre taking which include registering to this forum just to follow TOD wherever he goes to physically remove himself from you, so you can call him names and treat him like shit is such teenage narcisstic toxic masculinity bullshit. If people want to leave doomworld, then fucking let them.

There must be a misunderstanding because Doomworld Mega Project, as ToD wants to run it, has been there as much or as little as ToD ever wanted it to be. He never was “stopped” from running his own. He just turned the rules into nonsense so spin-offs were created with different names to accomodate the original rule set.
It’s kind of like how when Dusty tried to start Community Chest 5 out of nowhere people were pissed, but when he changed the name to Community Trunk, no one minded. The name being similar isn’t disrespectful nor is it an affront to anyone with any semblance of sanity.
No one has the “copyright” on a set of mapping rules for a project, not even ToD, despite him bitching about it on and off for 5 years now and still making it a thing right there in the antagonistic, lying-ass claim in the OP of this thread. Believe me I can quote ToD whining about this non-issue and slandering Sci and Sid in multiple other threads over the years. He just whined about it yet AGAIN a week ago in the DW speed run area and again tried to smear Obsidian. The spin-off was a thing as of 5 years ago and this Born Male tough guy can’t unwad his panties about it even today.
I was under the impression that calling out blatant lies and bullshit are covered under the true free speech 40oz wants (except for people he doesn’t like or who disagree with him).

For a moment I thought this was DMP. A community project I participated before and will also do for 2023. But then I realized it's a DMP but a different DMP. Confusing, but I like both DMPs, where novice mappers can try something (I am usually afraid to join big projects as I am not that good or won't put the time for something of matching quality). I like this DMP because of the funny rule to never playtest it. I might try a smallish map. Hope it's ok I participate in both DMPs, I see there is some animosity in the air.

Probably never going to understand the fixation on the 'born male' custom title, either. People put their pronouns near their name all the time. It's just a statement of his gender and doing so is widely received to be a socially good thing. Just because ToD uses he/his/him pronouns doesn't mean he should need to behave like some badass superhuman alpha male in order to validate it...? (e.g. having to pick a fight that's not even there and never opting to leave at the risk of being perceived as "a weeping vagina" or "9 year old girl, lmao") These gendered insults are really bad praxis, imo, especially in 2023 and from a high ranking moderator on doomworld, a place where people believe they are safe from this kind of abuse. Nah, what I said is clearly all correct and justified. The absolute fucking king of being a two-faced martyr hypocrite pointing out that my insults call him “girly” or whatever couldn’t possibly matter less to me. Despite what weird little lies or whatever you guys are telling yourself, I’m not censorship happy. I'm disappointed in Xeep's reaction above all else tbh. So I'm the bad guy for calling ToD a girly vagina when he straight-up praised the 400% increase in slur usage on Twitter? Now that I think about it, that isn't even fucking hypocritical. I insulted one singular person for shit they're obviously a little bitch about, I wasn't throwing out "anti-entire group of people" vagueness like him. But the thing is, he also has made a habit of going after Sid every so often (and Sci back when he was around, and even well after) - so he can dish out vague anti-all-trans people remarks AND specifically target other users, but when I call him a bitchboy about it and point out that it is, in fact, reminiscent of a 9 year old girl's behavior, I'm the transphobe. I mean, what "groups" am I making fun of here other than ToD himself? 9 year old girls? Oh yeah I'm sure there's plenty of them reading this and getting super upset by it guys, you fucking got me. Edit: Just realized, I also made fun of people who own body pillows. I agree, I did go a little too far with that one.. I'm sorry.
40oz is the king of protecting people who use language that bothers others. Him judging me for "deeply offending" all the 9 year old girls in the Doom community again means less than shit because it's so bold-faced moronic.
edit: If he hadn't been making this a thing consistently every few months for 5 years straight now, I wouldn't have made this post. But his whole claim about "two power hungry users trying to steal his baby" or whatever the fuck is just unmitigated horse shit. Back in 2018 as I watched this all go down, I felt like part of why Scifista left the community was because ToD had brought up this shit about him "stealing" the project out of "spite" a few times before then. It was a total loss because all Sci did was help new users with technical or general Doom questions, he only ever sought to be a resource for the community, if that makes sense, and taking on the mantle of "a project where anyone can submit any Doom map, no holds barred otherwise" when ToD decided to change the rules up for the worse, was just an extension of his overall desire to help the community. He never did a damn thing with hateful or spiteful intent, despite the smear campaign.
The fact that (if my theory is right, anyway) we lost a really helpful community member because of ToD's weird unfounded smears and distortions, that's a fucking shame, and would have been bad enough. But he keeps on fucking going. On and on for 5 years, every few months with this fucking shit. Now Obsidian is his target and has been for the last few years, though as that screenshot I posted in the OP shows, he's STILL taking opportunities to accuse Scifista of the project being "purely out of spite" when the dude hasn't even been around to protect himself for years at this point. I mean, what the actual fuck? I've just kept seeing it over and over and over and over and I finally had to call bullshit when he wanted to start trying to spread that old-ass lie around here too.. Stomping grounds of mine for many years I might add - pretty sure I was the 13th user to sign up. (you guys don't think I pop in every now and then? come on)

Imagine you made Rowdy Rudy 3 with a theme I didn't like, so I went and made "Lowdy Ludy" with the plutonia theme. I doubt you'd like me very much if I did that. Or is there more to it than I know of? During my time on doomworld I remember ToD just doing his thing 99% of the time. |
