INTRO
The Doomworld Mega Project is something I started in 2012 as a compilation project with no quality control. If a map follows the project rules then it's in, no questions asked. After two attempts to usurp the project, and because of a power-hungry mod, I've decided to take the project off doomworld and on the road.
STORY
After recovering from the fanfare of yet another Cacoward win, you get notified that your trusted playtesters are focusing on their own mapping careers, leaving you on the floor with a crippling anxiety attack when you realize you're now on your own and the house of cards you built up is about to fall.
RULES
Before starting your map, you must understand the rules. If you can't follow the rules then don't bother submitting.
As people submit their untested maps, I will test them and only fix any major bugs. Basically, I will probably only fix something that renders the map unplayable (like a broken mandatory switch, etc.) because I want to leave the maps in their original form as much as possible. If I fixed something that you didn't want fixed in your map, post about it in the thread and we can talk about it. After the deadline, the maps will be compiled into a wad and released (I'll order them myself, so don't ask for a specific map slot). Thanks and have fun!

- Make a smallish map in 2023 for doom2 on map01 in boom compatibility using only stock assets (no new textures or other lumps).
- Do NOT, under any circumstances, play your map or let someone else play your map. Don't even load your map in a source port or anywhere outside of the editor. Using 3D mode in the editor is allowed. I don't know what kind of other features modern editors have, but the point of this project is to build a map without testing or debugging it at all. This isn't to see who can make the best map without testing it, this is just for fun. I'm assuming there will be plenty of bugs, including in my own map, so just try to build the map as bug-free as you can and have fun. Making fixes to your map isn't allowed after it's been submitted, you only get one chance to submit your map.
- When your map is finished, zip it and post it here (with an editor screenshot if you want) or PM it to TimeOfDeath666 on doomworld and I will post it here. You can also include a midi in your zip file (don't put it in your wad file), and a text file with any info you want. Once your map is posted, I will post an in-game screenshot of it.
- Limit of 5 maps per person, until more than 5 people have submitted. After that, the limit of maps per person is equal to the number of people who have submitted (if 8 people have submitted at least one map, the map limit per person is 8).
- DEADLINE IS NOVEMBER 1, 2023
