Hmmmmm I see. I didn't expect that but your post gives me good reason for additional introspection. I don't know what to do with this new information yet though but recognizing it should be the first step. This does conflict though with my tender longings for eternity and to never change special parts of who I am. This may be a tough pill to swallow.

How is your sanity, people? It seems like social distancing and mask policy is finally killing it for me. My mind can't register a mental handshake validation with other people anymore. I don't know how this thing works but apparently there should be a mental tick "reality consensus is achieved" when you talk to other people, and it is not getting ticked.

I think everyone's social skills dumb down when they don't talk to someone long enough. Going outside and having some fresh air with some good greenery to admire should restore some sanity. I mean, it works in video games so why not? My sanity is currently challenged by not being able to sleep when I want to and, now, whether that's up to being engaged in this forum's latest dumpster fire wouldn't be a bad assumption. I imagine that in the past I'd have complained about it and left the thread alone but now I'm either too cool or too insane to do that. I didn't mind being called 'loyal' per se since I believe that's something to take pride in as it's a quality rarely recognizable nowadays (so it's a shame that it was used in a derogatory way). Its been a fun and engaging roller coaster ride today I guess and at the end of the day I'm feeling pretty okay.

I imagine that all this social distancing and mask policy stuff is like a bad dream you can't wake up from. You'd probably be called insane describing the world today a decade or so ago but here we are in bizarro world as the result of much compounded nonsense. It's okay to cry; I sure did (and funnily enough it was a frickin' meme image that started it). I've been a recluse all year but that still doesn't mean I shouldn't engage with the world in a meaningful way. On and off I've been battling those dang inner demons time and time again and making effort at more self-improvement which in of itself can be a little toxic if I can't accept how good I am at the moment and I am still struggling but I have to make it through. Yeah, makes sense, by placing further restrictions on yourself you kind of proved to yourself you are still in control of your own life. Now we can dispute whether it is truly so, but at least the intent is obvious - it does make sense.

I actually almost received a fine for violating the curfew when it was first installed, so screw "you always have a choice". It is like I always have a choice of bank robbery or of an illegal immigration by crossing borders where there is no patrol, fuck meaningless choices like that.

I have good news. The fog in my mind has gone away, no reason to worry anymore. I will have a lot of things to say to my doctor in the Monday though, in the past few days I received intravenous injection as part of treatment for my dermatitis, and it looks like it was the culprit (today I was not getting shot). Either this particular drug is not good for me, or something went wrong, but adjustments clearly have to be made.

Thanks though for me just writing the name doesn't do it and I also have to press the Insert User Link button (I've tried typing the '@' at the start of the names but it never lit up green in the previews I think) to make it a green notification and I haven't made the names green every time but I sure will if it's important!

AHEM Now where was I? Oh yes....

Notifications are mysterious but so enticing and usually yield a dopamine hit. Has technology fracked itself into our brains so matter-of-factly as to shower us with such sweet nothings that pleasure the lizard brain so effortlessly? Using the senses to let you know the world has heard you. It's a nice feeling to know the world acknowledges your existence, and is there really a sweeter sound than that of one's own name?
