Marble Hill is a new 20-level episode megawad for Doom 2 designed for limit removing source ports (complevel 2) made by the various members of Doomer Boards. The theme is loosely based on the aesthetic of the Marble Zone levels from Sonic the Hedgehog. Basically, these maps tend towards ancient temples/structures and feature limestone, lava, overgrown vegetation and purple rocks. EDIT: found a small mistake in my map 15 which, incidentally, makes it a bit more chaotic and challenging, which I sort of like. Will see what the feedback is, but might end up keeping it this way.

Putting Joe-Ilya's map right at the start was a huge mistake. It should've been reworked completely or swapped with MAP03 at least. And I'm not the only one who feels this way:

I mean it's been what, three days already and only one person streamed it. I know I'm being a childish dickhead at times, but goddammit to me it's unbelievable this map wasn't just accepted, but even put at MAP01 slot. By putting such an... Unusual map everyone's expectation of the mapset will be pretty low because people will think that's what the rest of the set may look like. But whatever, what's done is done, I'm just hoping you guys won't do this mistake again in the future just because Joe is considered good guy and a veteran of this forum... Also ShiroiAkuma's map is really good, but the arch-vile usage is a bit overboard and repetitive imo. Worst offender was a small room where you summon two arch-viles by using a lift and the only cover you have is two teeny-tiny pillars. The rest of the maps are pretty solid and fun but I didn't take notes for them (I'm at MAP13 at the moment).

Look at the bright side - at least he's not leading. Maybe all the hard work to get the DBPs out of the joe-ilya era slump is not for naught yet.
This said, and considering the Sonic connection, I'm also a bit surprised by 67's lukewarm reception. I guess part of it is the luck of releasing the same week as what will probably be the mapset of the year, for better or worse. Not much you can do about it.

Part of the issue is that we've been overshadowed by the release of the new sourceport along with Legacy of Rust + ID24 format. We were just unlucky with the timing. Similar thing happened when I released my 10x1024 wad. Eviternity II happened to drop the same day. I wasnt expecting a lot of attention but that release guaranteed I got almost no attention. Shit happens. People will come to play DBP67 over time and they'll see the quality of our work then. All we can do now is press on and make the next set as good as we can.

I wont make any critiques over the quality of other maps since I only have control over what I have made. This is a community project after all, a deviation of quality and styles is expected. Anyway, the average quality of map in this DBP is fairly high. I was very impressed this time around. Lets look at the lack of attention as a blessing in disguise so we can correct as many issues as we can before the majority of players get to it.

I just want to know what this Imp was doing in the bathroom with the rocket positioned like that In Russian language there is a term called "lay down the rocket" and it is an euphemism to "number 2". I guess that poor imp has eaten up some spicy KFC that wasn't that good for his poor stomach...

MAP01 of any given mapset doesn't have to be a high point, that's not a mistake on the project leader's part. Usually the high points of a mapset come later, while a MAP01 is usually an easy introduction to the theme. What does my online behavior has to do with the map slot anyway?

Actually it DOES have to be a high point, or at least not a low point which is the case with your map. A proper MAP01 should be good enough to hook the player and make them anticipate what comes next and prepare the player for what the rest of the set is gonna be like. Your map fails at both.
