I juat made it the format I always map in and for consistency's sake I want all the maps done that way.
Full disclosure...I have no idea what anything doomkid said even means. I am very ill versed in that sort of thing.

Alright cool, then follow the advice in my post and open it up for all accepted ZDoom formats. You can still do your maps in Doom in Doom and others could use that format, or Hexen or UDMF and it will all work together when packed into the finished wad file without being complicated at all.

I'm gonna regret this so hard but I'll take MAP08. Absolutely no promises though. Also, don't be surprised if I spend something like 6 months making the map, or if it ends up being horrible.
So did I get all this right, I am allowed use a lot of advanced ZDoom crap, right? I guess it's time to learn Hexen format, finally.

I’m pretty sure Trace has relaxed the format to whatever works in ZDoom and I noticed he has taken the Doom in Doom format spec from the OP. So I say go for it!

No shit...must have overlooked it. Great screenshot! I am excited to play it.
My only suggestion is to perhaps try using a different ceiling flat. Having it be the same as the floor in this circumstance seems odd to me. Maybe you can throw in some skylights or something to make the ceiling pop.
