mayhemicdestrvctor My suggestion as a softer-punishment you will have to re-balance the mapset and create some new maps too.

I think that it's a fair punishment. Hey boss number 2, would you mind me stepping in? I think that i've earned my right to be punished as well. So i've just downloaded the thing. Played a little bit. Enjoyed the style. Opened on DB2 to check stuff. Got error'd to desktop when verifying the visplane count on e3m3 - have to kill 4 lone linedefs with no sides in order to proceed. Humm i liked.
I can fully vanillize those maps if you don't mind. Add some extra visual cues for the switches. Ramp up the difficulty to a more explosive experience. Add some nice detailing here and there. Rebalance things around. Add some good midis. And make a new map - i would like to take the e3m9 slot. Mayhemic can take e3m4 to e3m8, if he's ok with it. And if you did not approve the final result, well you can fatality me at anytime Shang.
Can i start my immolation in this purgatory?

These people can be very temperamental. Maybe we can do two versions of it! That would give us even more freedom to do our thing. But i think that if the intention behing this is to teach a lesson then it must be in OG Doom fashion. Having access to Doom II bestiary would make things way easier for us. However, if he don't mind adding a little bit of spice to this while keeping the integrity of the OG Doom experience, we can do some cool things with dehacked. Without needing to add any custom stuff. We can implement a improvised chaingunner, for example. Like. We replace the zombieman sprites with doom marine's, add both DM flags to it and then change his attack to the spiderdemon's attack and voila! We have a "evil marine" with red armor, a rapid fire attack and drops ammo on death. The same could be done to replicate Obituary's rocket zombieman. But adding the Cyberdemon's attack instead. Also, we can add a Hell Knight by simply replacing a useless thing and adding properties to it. Like the "dead lost soul". We could apply the same states and stuff from the Baron of Hell to it but with 500hp and adding the fuzz effect. And there you go, a spectre Hell Knight.

idk i dont like that idea with dehacked. i like doom 1. and i updated the first map even more because after play testing it , it wasnt perfect but now i think its eeeeven better
level 1 has 211 enemies

you should also not feel uncalmed about it. its not so bad. i didnt think that not having doom 2 enemies is a big deal. it works still well to me.

Yeah, there's a lot of different stuff, new enemies, new weapons. Check it out in slade . Play it with Doom 2 level one, to check out what the chainsaw becomes, its randomized.

I'm thinking make the sub-machine gun ammo start with 999 to give the player a better chance, and balance it out, considering this mod also turns stuff like torches, and shotguns into enemies.

I guess we will move forward with this being an Inferno level replacement mapset? I'm cool with that. I like the rebalance for the first level, but I think since we are using monster and weapon replacements now we can try to make the other 2 levels I made work. mayhemicdestrvctor I will put you down as working on e3m4 @panurge I will put you down as working on e3m5 Let me know if you guys want to do others. Haha, sorry boss. I've been a very naughty boy, very naughty indeed! And already started doing my own thing with Infernal Immolation. Plus, i didn't really thought that this would be an actual DBP.
And with that in mind, i will not dare to taint DBP's reputation with my filth. So, let's make another kind of deal here, Shang.
I've already finished the dehackery that i've invisioned for this project, made the titlepic, selected and remixed the new tunes and started the strictly vanilla-ization process of your maps. So even tho i've jumped into this as a form of penance due to my bad behaviour, i simply can not let the efforts that i've already put into this go to waste. Nuh uh. And.. wait a minute! You are flirting with, with gameplay mods now? Oh no.. no no no, that is way too much and my poor little heart can't take it.
So allow me to cordially drop from this noble enterprise of yours and present you a 1-0-1, a face-to-face, a man-to-man type of deal instead: i'll extend my penitence by doing a complete E3 replacement. However! Not as a DBP, but as a gift to you.
