Uh, I stated facts and speculations (mostly facts), you clearly forgot that both these things can be said in one post.

I find it biased and hard to believe that the DW mods would ban 40oz because of not banning sarais, there's a chance 40oz's paraphrasing could be off because of his emotions and of what happened in the end.
I mean the mods might be sensitive... oversensitive perhaps, but not blackmailing assholes, although I might be surprised.

Well as adorably naive as that is, it's what happened. And it has happened before for far less infractions. Besides why the hell are you defending them? You've been on the receiving end of targeted forum abuse for no reason...where were your precious mods then?

Hmm... It's interesting to me that you interpreted that message to say "I win because you all lose" There was an argument taking place between Arctangent and Nine Inch Heels that didn't really need to take place, because Arc was really splitting hairs on Nine Inch Heels' posts and not listening to the completed message, and Nine Inch Heels was basically doing the same thing. It was an argument that was completely based on miscommunication and both of them weren't willing to let the other get away with that, so it would have continued forever. I didn't actually have a dog in the fight because I think both of them were right in their own ways, but their opinions weren't so different that there was any real reason for each other to dispute it. So my intention was to point out that they were both being idiots.



You are right in saying that the sarais thing wasn't the only reason. I didn't make their jobs as moderators easy for them. I did a lot of good things for the community like make maps, record demos, give people playtesting feedback, created resources, managed community projects, and tried to be a helpful person the best way I could. And by doing that, I used that as leverage to enable me to fight with people and say some mean shit that most people wouldn't be able to get away with if they were otherwise doing nothing useful for Doom.



What post are you referring to? I know I edit some of my posts to make them more clear or correct spelling errors but it doesn't say my posts were edited in this thread, and I don't recall making any edits to change the message of what was said as a means of covering anything up.

It makes me uncomfortable that people have made that accusation that I delete and modify things to cover them up. Dew said at the bottom of the first page in this thread but it wasn't true then either. I don't know what it is I'm supposed to disprove when people aren't specific but if people don't care enough they can just read it and believe it to be true.

I just wrote that because the response Arctangent wrote to me that I quoted made absolutely no sense.

Linguica made it pretty clear in the private message he wrote me that I have to ban sarais or I'm not allowed on doomworld. It makes more sense to me that he took my attempt to negotiate with him as a no, than to have been banned after that thread was locked. There are probably other people from doomworld who would be able to confirm that as the reason too.

In Arc's defence, she did admit that she made a serious typo there. I think you got pissed off by the version of her post which had contained the typo.
I dunno if the post made any sense after being corrected tho, her posts are too smart for my liking in general.

There is a difference between having honest intellectual debate online and constructing elaborate conspiracy theories about who what where and why.

I love how you essentially just used a thread where something important was revealed as your own kindergarten playing ground where everyone has to deal with you playing the insufferable sea lion who aggressively feigns ignorance... "facts" like "40oz's mean spirited edited post that everyone saw (which implies that you saw it too)"... like holy shit, you outright lied while accusing 40oz of lying and spinning narratives in the same sentence... and then when corrected you backpedal to "oh I thought" before immediately jumping to the scenario where mashing the keyboard in a stupid spat over "how much Doom's story matters to you" justifies ending a 10 year old account.. referring to a vague statement at the end of a thread... "facts".

And stop using the word "speculation" as if it's a good thing when your speculations clearly aren't coming from the sound and intellectually charitable mind of someone whose arguing in good faith, they're coming from someone trying to get the last post in to try "win" an argument.. like your one speculation relies on 40oz being as dishonest as you are apparently, where he pretends to be a damsel in distress that intentionally tries to spin such a bold faced lie that will no doubt reach the person he's "lying about" (1000+ views, heh), where said person just needs to take a screenshot that would result in 40oz's credibility taking such a beating that he'd end up having his own topic on kiwi farms, all to get sympathy points to make him look like a martyr for a while.. talk about risk vs potential reward, right? There's your other speculation that reads so far into something vague like "oh my god shut up" that it somehow becomes an official statement letting everyone know that a very specific someone has gotten banned (even if I pointed out he didn't get banned on the same day).

Also, stop complaining about bias and "spinning narratives" while reaching so far with your own bias that you have to rely on one the most ridiculously bad faith hypothetical situations I've ever read in my life (which relied on armchair psychology based off a lie in order to make sense) to spin your OWN narrative.. you can't have it both ways.. you aren't the voice of objectivity you think you are.

We get that you have your friends on Discord (now) but what does that prove or disprove? It doesn't take away from the amount of shit 40oz got from users from Doomworld saying they nearly flagged his video because you said "(content removed)" on his radio and how he got piled on because he actually tried to defend your language.

Seriously, what are you even doing, Joe? You should learn to pick your battles and when to let go because sometimes doubling down like you are just makes it harder for anyone to take you seriously in the future. You're making my brain hurt.
