1969 Chevrolet Suburban! this one is actually perfect for me cuz I can actually fit in it. unlike most other cheap cars I've looked at . it runs pretty well, it's just needs a little bit of work. also, I hereby start a petition to change the shitty "kewl" title image to "kuul". all in favour say kuul!

Well done - welcome to a world of expense and freedom! I thought my '02 plated car was old...
Still, with all the rust gone and the paint refreshed (or possibly done in a more modern colour scheme?) that'd look pretty timeless, I suspect.

I thought my mid 90s Toyota Seca was junk when I first started driving, especially after the engine died on me in the middle of a busy road, but this puts everything into perspective. I was a spoiled little shit to get that hand-me-down when I began. Like Phobus said though, if you get that somewhat fixed up and get a fresh coat of paint on there it will look like a cool classic. I feel like this shade of blue for the body but keeping the accent color as white could look quite nice.

Hahaha I don't think I've ever seen a car like that. Is that even legal to drive? The specs for inspection here in Pennsylvania are crazy high so no one owns a car older than 10 years because it's just too expensive to make it street legal. Not kuul.

This is based on UK law, so it might not apply.
As a fully trained vehicle boy I recommend inspecting major structural parts and locations (such as the seams or various mounts for the engine/suspension) for rust/decay, I recommend going over the cosmetic exterior rust/paint to ensure none of it is sharp, check every light works independently to ensure functionality then activate them one by one all at once to ensure there is no short circuit or bad earth faults and finally ensure it has a catalytic converter on the exhaust. If an officer spots these issues you will be stopped and your vehicle inspected.
Oh and a big rule, your tyres must have over 1.6mm tread depth (across the central 3/4th of the surface) each, must not have any visible damages (blebs, bulges, feathering ect) and most importantly the tyres on the same axel must be of the same ply construction (radial tyres cannot be placed on the other side of cross tyres). Failure to comply with tyre law in the UK can net you up to £2000 in fines and six points on your license for EACH offending tyre, making it the best way to be instantly disqualified.
I'm sure that's the UK being strict but it wouldn't hurt to brush up on your area's road legality laws.
but I'm sure you'll be ok.

Haha, here in Serbia no one has the $$$ for a car newer than 10 years. Well, there are the dumbasses who take a loan from a bank, but they're kind of a league of their own.

I bought my current car probably $5000AUD cheaper than the actual value because it had a large scratch down one side where the car had been keyed. It’s a fully sick ré 10 year old Renault Laguna that has only done 100,000km in that time and is a turbo diesel, so it’s economical and quick. I make sure the missus has a brand new car with all of the new fancy security and safety features and technology because she needs it haha
