Any one else here interested in the nocturnal and darker side of music known as Goth(ic) rock? With its various sub genre's that fit into it itself, like the 80's post-punk, or dark wave, and the all familiar industrial for examples. Personally I'm a bigger fan of 80's post-punk which gave birth to the genre in the first place!

Thanks to Scythe 2 I became a huge fan of The Sisters of Mercy. Their first album is incredibly atmospheric and emotional (wow at "Marian", "Nine While Nine", "Some Kind Of Stranger", etc), and the second is full of very catchy, almost dance-like songs, I just love them. Eldritch says he doesn't actually know how to sing, but that's exactly what makes his voice so human and relatable. Unprofessional singing can be really touching when it fits the mood of the music, it's like you can almost hear the vocalist breaking apart from overflowing emotions.

I like my Gothic music with a touch of doom, personally.
