This guy should really let the label "UnAligned" go, I only see one small misalignment in four screenshots in total.
Whatever, looks fun.

Yeah I think he's cheating by using textures that fit perfectly on specific lengths of line with 0,0 alignment anyway. lol  |

The full name is actually "UnNecessary: 30 Maps, 32 Days, Zero Texture Alignment; or, UnAligned 2: A WAD No One Asked For", or "UnNecessary" for short. I think the Ryath put a little more thought into texturing for this one, mostly by sticking to efficient map-unit multiples like 32 and 64.

Is it full of gimmicky gameplay situations again? The dude has an attractive clean style, but all that experimental stuff is not exactly my thing. I guess it makes otherwise primitive maps much more interesting to make though.

Is it full of gimmicky gameplay situations again? Pretty much. It's a sample platter of mostly short gimmick maps (except map20 which is long) that were all made within a month. Some maps are more gimmicky than others, and there's gonna be highs and lows depending on your tastes. People like me are probably the best audience for this sorta thing. I'm a big fan of Ryath's works so far. |

I really liked Ryath's STRAIN map. I haven't gotten around to playing this... I ran out of time over the weekend. It looks like a lot of fun though.
