Seems like everything on the west coast of United States is getting burned in these California wildfires. I don't know if any of you are californians, but if you are, be safe. My brother lives in Ventura and had to evacuate. So far his neighborhood is safe. I don't even know where they will get enough water to put all of this out. also I'm curious to know if the natural light from the fire fucks up the exposure on cameras. Does it really look like hell on earth when you see it in person?

You're a bit of a photographer, the photos don't turn out differently than they actually look? I don't think you're lying, I'm just having trouble wrapping my head around it.

Well I never had a phone or camera in those times, the last big ones here were Black Saturday in 2009 when the temperature reached 47 degrees Celsius (116 Fahrenheit). You can find tv reports from that time with the sky a fire red. I remember one about 15 kilometres from my house at the time in the late 90s on Mount Dandenong where the sky was a sickly pale red and a huge smoke cloud. I’ve seen the fireworks in Rio on New Years Eve turn the sky bright red so a huge wall of flames turning the sky to hell is nothing to nature. Long story short, it can indeed be the camera exposure but I’ve also seen with with the naked eye so yes. Also this year is looking like a dangerous bushfire season here in the land of the cunt so pray to God.

Speaking from experience, the last big fire here filled the sky with smoke and tinted everything a light pink... and that's just from it being nearby. Air pollution affects the color of the sky all the time, especially something as catastrophic as a forest fire. Massive volcanic eruptions have been known to alter the color of the sky for years.
