Some people are really offended by it in general. But I curse a lot in causal conversation, but usually only around other dudes. Some say it makes you sound uneducated, but I don' think it necessarily true. Look at all the business people with MBAs on Wall St. that notoriously curse like motherfuckers. Of course, when you're speaking in other professional environment; it would be fucking retarded to drop a few f-bombs. It depend on the culture of the establishment I guess.

I use it sparingly because it's good for emphasis. I've had teachers to say that people swear because they don't have a very large vocabulary, which I never found to be true. There are other signs to look out for that suggest someone is uneducated. However, I've had friends who say fuckin' where any other person would just say uhhh and that gets grating pretty fast because it just sounds like a misuse of the word. Like when someone who works at Starbucks always says expresso.

I do that same; replace "uhhhh" with "fuckin..."
I knew someone that used to say, "but fuckin..." which I would also point out that he sounds like he's saying "butt-fucking"

I think that cursing has lost it's "cursiness" lately. There's a lot of dudes nowadays who use the F word almost as if it were an article or something, so the word has lost its initial purpose: picturing how PISSED you are at that moment, instead becoming just another parasite word that infest people's vocabs. On the other hand, cursing occasionally to express a very strong emotion is fine with me, and IMO is not a sign of lack of education or culture.

I feel a lot more comfortable cursing in English. Somehow being a non-native makes vulgar words seem less offensive. But also I think that Russian swear words are a lot nastier to begin with. Swearing in Russian will make you sound like a ghetto hillbilly drunkard much faster compared to English. In Russian we have a special term, "mat", for that kind of words, and a popular question among linguists is: "does mat actually exist in English?". Opinions vary, but a lot of people agree that English swear words just aren't dirty enough to be considered mat. They are, like, one level below. In translations English swear words are very rarely represented as mat, as that usually makes the phrases sound significantly nastier than originally intended.
In contrast, Japanese swearing is generally really soft when compared to English. A lot of people who speak both English and Japanese say that they nearly always swear in English, as Japanese curse words simply don't feel expressive enough. But what's nice about Japanese is that it has a group of "reaction" words you can use depending on the situation. If something painful or unpleasant happens to your body, in English you will typically use "fuck" or a similar word no matter what. But in Japanese there are special words for "it's hot!", "it hurts!", "it's cold!", etc. It's neat to have them.

Like when someone who works at Starbucks always says expresso. Supposebly a lot of people like melk in they're expresso, but I thnk that there just taking the melk for granite. But for all intensive purposes, melk does taste great with expresso.

I swear all the time because I like using the taboo mega bad no no naughty words that I wasn't allowed to growing up.
There was a video of Destiny 2 my friend made that I appeared in and every scene I was in was punctuated by fuck, it was eye opening to see how much I swear.

I curse too much, I think, but I only do it when something negative needs to be commented. People who use swearing as an interjection probably have nothing worthwhile to communicate (why else would they fill the air with meaningless noise instead of telling you what they want?) and they seem to be more common now than when I grew up. A sign of the times, perhaps. I remember thinking that the swearing taboo in TV and other "official" settings was pretty silly, back in the day, but now I almost want it back. Also, have some curses from 1999. God damn, son of a bitch, motherfucker förbannade helvetes jävla kuksugare! English is lean when it comes to cursing - the norse tongues, and no doubt the slavics, as commented earlier, are more colourful. Supposebly a lot of people like melk in they're expresso, but I thnk that there just taking the melk for granite. But for all intensive purposes, melk does taste great with expresso. Norse fact #1 -"Melk" is milk in norwegian.

Yes more tongue is always better.... I curse in Portuguese a lot and love it, it’s kind of poetic and has a suaveness about it not like our Aussie cuntings and fuckings. Puta que pariu, porra, carralho, filho da puta, merda, the cursing never stops.
