To all my American friends here, happy Thanksgiving. I hope you all have safe travels and get to spend time enjoying a nice meal with loved ones. We're keeping it calmer this year with the only people dining under our roof tonight will be my dad, my cousin, my girlfriend, and yours truly. But this is fine by me. I'd rather spend Thanksgiving with people I know actually give a shit about me instead of the rest of my family (who live nearby) that I only ever hear from once a year...usually the Thanksgiving/Christmas holiday. I don't like that pretending shit. If you don't like someone, even if that someone is family, then act like it. Don't pretend once a year that you can't stand them out of some kind of implied obligation. But anyhow...To all of my non-American friends...I know that you guys don't have freedom or anything awesome like that, so I will be praying for you guys. Hopefully one day you guys will be allowed out of your non-American shackles and be permitted to own cars and shit. heh Stay safe everyone, and have a great day!

This is my first thanksgiving as a vegetarian, but my wife found some cool thanksgiving related recipes that she's excited about that don't use any meat. I'm interested in knowing what she comes up with.

Haha freedom, in America? That’s a good one! You guys are even about to lose net neutrality and no one seems to be too fussed about it. Anyways happy thanksgiving, and remember to give thanks to the glory days of old glory, because they ain’t ever coming back... they say a country’s peoples get the governance they deserve, so enjoy! Save some turkey for an old cunt too.

I suppose I'll have to make up for my lack of freedom with some whiskey instead. Cheers!

I do agree, America is not that free like everyone says TOS what the hell are you talking about? This isn't like the 1950s when America was a truly free country, and all others were under Marxist/communist/monarchy bullshit (except lovely ol North Korea). Countries moved away from that shit. E.g. Czech Republic is pretty much the same as the US when it comes to rights. With MAYBE a couple more restrictions.

Yes, the vast majority of the original post was a joke.
I am not going into what was a joke and what wasn't. That is a different discussion for a different thread, but I will say that I disagree with the sentiment that America is not a free country.
Those with questions are free to message me, but let's not turn this thread into a political soapbox, please.
