Over the weekend I watched Land of Mine, a Post-WW2 film based on true historical events in Denmark. There are no battle scenes. It's simply a drama film about of group of young child soldier POWs forced to disarm tens of thousands of mines on the West coast of Denmark's beaches. I love European films over most American films. The acting was great. The story had good character development, which I strongly believe American films lack these days. The soundtrack consists of 1 song and it is played a few times during the film. Most of the scenes were filmed when it was cloudy and gray, which gives a sense of a bleak and depressing environment. Overall, well made film, and it hit me right in the feels. What are some movies that hit you in the feels?

My girlfriend had me watch a Mexican film called "Instructions Not Included."
At the end I took out my man card, tore it in half, and used both halfs to wipe away my actual tears.

Chappie (yes, goddamn Chappie) hit straight in the feels. Specifically the scene where some ni99as stone him and he begs for mercy, there was something so touching in that scene.

The most recent movie I watched that made me cry was Blow. A movie that takes you through the life of infamous cocaine smuggler George Jung (played by Johnny Depp,)
Particularly the parts involving his dad, Fred (Ray Liota,) a blue collar worker with good morals. He just wanted his son to be successful and not make the same mistakes he did. You can see how conflicted he is when George shows off his smoking hot wife, his mansion, and all his sports cars.
Fred, silent through the whole tour, steps George aside and asks.
"Are you happy?"
with a second of hesitation, George says
"Yeah."
You can see how distraught he his, that his son actually listened to him and became wealthy and powerful like he wanted him to be, but illegally and at the expense of society, polluting the streets with drug distribution. You can see clearly, the inflection of disappointment with himself in his countenance. But he still loves him anyway.
I'm tearing up just thinking about it.

Blow was definitely one for me as well. The ending bit when he's envisioning his daughter visiting him but she isn't really there.. That shit tugged my heartstrings something fierce. Excellent film.

Angel Beats! probably made the most impact on me, it wasn't just "oh damn there goes my manhood haha"; I lost way more than my manhood... I had to take a shower to clean my face, it turned me into an emotional wreck for the entire weekend.. so much so that I effortlessly turned down a job offer without thinking because I didn't want to think of work, I was still trying to process what happened and think life (was a shit job offer anyway, in hindsight haha).
Like everything that's Japanese though; the dubbed version was done elsewhere in the world and sucks and the dialogue was dumbed down massively.
