Playing this game taught me a huge lesson: Never underestimate a game simply because you get it for free. I passed by this title for years because it was a free game from GOG just for creating an account with them. I thought it was a glorified flash game or some such tripe, but boy was I wrong. I finished the game last night with 100% completion, and from start to end it was absolutely excellent. And it's free to create an account with GOG, so anyone can get this game for free whenever they want. I think I might purchase the soundtrack(it's only $4.50) to support the creators in some small way. The BGM for the mushroom caverns is probably my favorite song from the game.
Here's a quick video review of the game. The guy in the video is a kind of a tool, and I'm a little pissed that he's reviewing it before he's even finished the fucking game, but still this review will give you a good idea of some of the game's selling points.
