Do Team Starts work in Team Deathmatch?

I know this is a question that I could easily answer myself by opening up the editor, but I may be away from my computer for a few days. The idea of making team deathmatch specific maps came up, and I'm wondering if I should just abandon it or seriously consider drawing some map layout ideas on paper to work on later.
