Well I got sick of the shitty performance of my nearly-decade old smart TV (I have to manually reencode nearly every video file I pir-, uh, pirchase, to older specs to make them work at all... and sometimes it doesn't work properly anyway, even when the settings I used are THE FUCKING SAME AS I USED LAST TIME AND THEY WORKED THEN FUCK) and ordered another Raspberry Pi to convert to a little media player. Anyway it arrived today, along with an HDMI adaptor since it has 2x micro-HDMI ports instead of 1x sensible HDMI port.
Anyway it turns out that there is such a thing as Mini-HDMI too and that's what my adaptor was for, so I went on a little adventure to my local shopping district and now I have a mini-normal adaptor attached to the to my new Pi along with the micro-mini adaptor I mistakenly purchased originally. In conclusion, I love mini- and micro- versions of perfectly good full-sized plugs that aren't that big anyway, and think there should be more variant standards like that for everything. You ever wonder what would happen if one day you just suddenly turned tail and vanished? Like from either real life or this internet stuff.
I always wondered what holes there would be, where the gaps would be and how fast they'd get filled if at all. It'd be interesting to know how the shit around you would be different, like not "if you never existed" but more if you just disappeared, what effects would that have?
Just something interesting to think about I guess.

If I mention their names, maybe one other oldie will also pipe up and say "oh yeah, I remember that guy!" and that's about the extent of it. Usually no one else present even remembers them. To me, that says it all. Everything is very temporary. |

yeah the quick reply box is a plugin that is an addition to the default forum software, and somehow does not display the current emotes in the forum that you can see by hitting the actual reply or edit button.

They were supposed to accept my test and it's explicitly said on the uni website. So my quarantine was literally by mistake and nothing more. Other than another pcr test (mandatory due to state requirements) didn't pay for shit. The quarantine rooms cost 3x more than the regular ones too. |

I'm bored atm so regular Xeep Eep blog post time I guess. Also double post so suck my dick. Uni started on Monday. Within 2 days almost all universities in the country closed down due to covid but mine is almost the last man standing. Hence it's probably a matter of day when it follows the fate of everyone else. I pray that doesn't happen because did I fucking travel for 20 hours for a week of lessons? (I study abroad if you don't know somehow) Also randomly enrolled on a course in GIS (geographical information systems, basically you make maps and statistics and shit) and it actually seems fun as fuck. The course is also partly in English (I don't study in English), so it's good not to be the dumb foreigner with a 20-word lexicon for once, but the exact opposite. If another quarantine hits then I'll probably just kill myself or something because I'm not handling another one. Or I am, but I'm getting deported for sure. Haven't done a SINGLE uni thing during the ENTIRETY of the previous 4 month lockdown. Started drinking "effervescent tablets" (is that the proper word?) with ginkgo biloba extract and no idea if it works but I've been on straight fucking beast mode for the last few days. Read 6 chapters of a book after not having touched one since high school. Did a lot of stuff. Felt fucking electric and kinda cuddled with an unironic qt 160 cm asian girl, I might even text her or some shit. Had the balls to complain about my unfair quarantining and even used badass words like "I'm not going to pay" instead of any other wording. Maybe it's placebo even, but whatever. Even if you're below the age of 60, I really recommend giving ginkgo a shot lol. Literally god mode IRL. I might even actually try to get a map in next month's DBP, that's how I good I feel rn. My sister got into medical uni back home and she's actually literally fucking retarded. We've all got google and shit, right? But she can't find even the most basic and necessary information if her life depended on it. She couldn't find the Facebook group (it's called "Students of UNI_ABBREVIATION 2020/21"). She couldn't find her login data for the university system, even if it's right on the student section of the uni's page, two very sensible clicks away from the main page. Oh and she tried to input the login data into GMAIL, NOT THE UNIVERSITY'S DEDICATED EMAIL SYSTEM. I have no idea what she's gonna do lol, thank god she stayed home at least. Or maybe not? Idk. Bruh nobody helped me with this shit. Ok someone did, but mostly with the visa/residence stuff, not this. Ah, yeah, this needs actual care to drink. I also tried it once, ended up vomitting soon after three(?) cups in a row because I apparently did not dose sugar well (went cheap, so I just thrown some sugar into a bottle filled with water, shaked it, and those that will do for mixing with absinth). After vomitting I didn't immediately clear up but went to sleep. And the first cup was worth a whole bottle of brandy in so far as effect of drunkeness goes. I remember by the time I finished the first three I had a slideshow of reality frames and a pulse of maybe 200 bpm.
And three days later, was my first day of employment. That is why I did experiment with drinks the week before it, in between accepted offer and the first day at work. I thought I would not have much time trying out alcohol stuff when I am employed.
