My day is turning into a pub crawl around Edinburgh... Although I'll have to take it easy as I've got to drive back at some point. Still, I've found a rock club they serves fruity beers, which feels like a good place to hang my metaphors for a while.

I rarely post here because I rarely post anywhere anymore, there's not much my depressed ass has to say anyway. I like the "like" system because as stated before on DW I use it to let people know I've seen the post they directed at me if I'm not going to reply to and it allows me to say "I agree" without making a pointless 2 word shitpost. - As for something random, I ate a microwave burger not too long ago and now it feels like Mount Olympus wants to leave every hole I have  You and I have a whole lot in common man. I rarely post on forums nowadays too because there really is nothing interesting to talk about in terms of topics of interest. We used to be aspiring Doomers, even newbie mappers, but we don't even do much anymore. Probably the pull of real life has got to us both. As for random things, uh, well I haven't posted on this particular forum in almost a year, so there's that. Also hi That's 100% accurate my dude, didn't we even partake in NOVA together? |

We didn't actually work together on a map but we were both mappers for not just NOVA 1 but 2. It's been so long but I really just don't want to look back anymore. You gotta look forward.

Man these spillways are just nightmarish (literally). Yet I can't stop looking at them. I find it especially creepy how the water surrounding them looks dead calm, flat and completely peaceful. Then all of a sudden BAM, drop of death hole. Differently shaped glory hole of doom. D: |

On Friday, at 5:00PM I was exiting my office building towards the parking garage to go home. I was walking side by side with another guy I've never spoken to before who works in my office. He's about my age, blue golf shirt, jeans, car keys in one hand and a lunchbox hanging over his shoulder. He asks.
"Got any plans for the weekend?"
I tell him a little bit about how I've got some things that are kind of up in the air, nothing set in stone. Probably will spend it cleaning the house or something.
He tells me a bit about how he's going to a brunch with his parents, and then on sunday he's going to a museum with his friend who's a history teacher. By then we've walked up to my car and I tell him that all sounds cool.
"My name is Jon by the way."
"My names Jake."
"Nice to meet you, Jake"
"As long as no one's last name is Jingle Heimer Schmidt, we're good!"
I laugh.
I kinda wished I was more honest with him and just told him that joke sucked.

Gosh I hate that. When someone makes a really lame joke, but you don't want to tell them and make them feel bad, so you just pretend to laugh. There's a guy at my work exactly like this.
He's an older man (in his mid 60's I would say) and is always making these lame sexual jokes. Like, we have this pin-up calendar in the back warehouse area with various women in bikinis and swimsuits on it (changes each month). And he's always walking by and making these corny ass remarks. "Know what would look good on her? Me!" Ha-ha...ugh. Dude, you're like 65. And he's fat with these giant thick glasses so the whole thing just comes across sounding weird, and creepy. Instead of funny.
Then he was telling me this long-winded joke about golfing or something. Some woman golfing but wasn't doing very good, and so his proposed solution for her was to just "imagine the golf club was your husband's penis".
Ugh man, the cringe though. I was just like you're not funny man, please stop. He's since left me alone, and tells his stupid jokes to other people now. Thankfully. Ehh... YEESH.

I found a Gunsmith Cats Doom mod just now and was like "No way! I gotta see this!" because that's one of my favorite animes so that was interesting to experience. I kinda wanna make my own Gunsmith Cats Doom thingy now.  Random doom memory: I savescummed on map32 of Plutonia so much that the save file ended up corrupting because of vanilla. Remembered because of looking for nice maps to play with Russian Overkill |

Just finished the first week of my new job and I have to say it was pretty sweet. Good small team of cunts to work with, I have the run of the warehouse and distribution. I can smoke when I want, have coffee when I want, call people cunts here when I want, it’s a good deal. I’m a bit sore and sorry from 3 months without working, but there is no iota of pressure in this small company at all and it’s extremely well organised... fuck me I might have finally found my dream job :-)
