Does that make me childish (But i didn't upvote anything else, it just that you said that pro players might not enjoy it, while i am by no means a "pro" player but i couldnt bring myself to find that sentence helpful). I know you're relatively new to the zoo, so you probably didn't know you were touching "untouchable" mapsets held in high esteem by the cunts who count cunt. Being seen here probably doesn't help you much either, although that really shouldn't cunt count. Your reviews were fair and honest and I agree with them myself. That mod essel in particular has a massive hard on for SiD, or would if she could still actually have hard ons. You were never gonna do well with honesty under such circumcisions circumstances. 

I like the new update in general, but dear Satan wtf happened inside many of the categories in the Settings app... either huge space between lines or no space at all. I like the fact that the old CP is finally going to be laid to rest, maybe even in the next major update considering there's so few options left in it now, it never made any sense to have both the Settings app and the old CP. Or should I say panels? Who the hell though 3-4 CP were a good idea lol, who designed this mess?

As about your reply, well I can definitely see what you mean. If they don't agree, well, that's gonna be bad for you. Soon enough someone will call my opinions "uneducated", I won't be surprised when that eventually happens. DW used to have a pretty positive view in my mind, but it's slowly turning into a more negative one with all these recent events. At least I could make some friends who aren't scumbags in time.

the new review system is garbage.. having to have an account to post a review just means that impressive top notch mapsets with a lot of effort put into them get uploaded only to get one or so reviews... all just to make sure a "toxic" review doesn't slip past the security gates. I'd rather there be the usual 20x the reviews and have a vendetta review thinly veiled as "criticism" than what it is now.. ugh the internet in general is getting so sanitized it hurts.

Honestly I think it's a good idea to be required to have an existing forum account set up in order to post reviews, I've seen how bad things can go without it with my own eyes...

Still, it doesn't make the "Useful Review" function less cancerous. Good luck hitting someone's nerves or touching stuff people think is immune to criticism in their odd minds. It's funny really, at the time of writing this the Stardate 20x7 review sits at 1/6. Tough day for anyone who thinks my reviews are going away if they keep on downvoting or attacking them, I'm writing them for myself first and foremost, if people find them any good or agree with them is of no concern to me. Their problem if they can't deal with honest and actual reviews, their frustration and hate does little more than amuse me .

You say this now... but you weren't here for the last 9 years when it was purely fine and even smaller wads and even happy birthday speedmaps got 30+ reviews.. as a mapper I couldn't ask for anything more, having 19 reviews on my Heretic map was a thing that motivated me... Kristus's positive review more than made up for the sting of the harsh reviews.. now with a community with an inclination towards slaughter and "tasteful" and clean level design, where all the conversations going on in Discord show just how petty the vendettas are, how separating the authors from the artwork really isn't a thing and believe in guilt by association.. where the only anonymity is being able to thumbs down a review, lol.. being the dictators of reviews, lol. Now we can get the place even more sanitized. WP! You can put 8 years of effort into a mapset now and get 2 reviews, awesome! Getting feedback isn't the end all and be all.. but it is something that adds to the payoff for the effort you put into your work and it's nice to know that people actually play the work you put effort into.

Ty's way of maintaining the archive was perfect.. they fixed something that wasn't broken, the amount of "toxicity" in the reviews was greatly over exaggerated. the more "toxic" reviews were deleted.. and you could report them! This is just the same as everything, elitists who think Doomworld is the only pocket of niceness on the internet trying to shut everyone else out... thinking they're better than everyone. What about people specifically signed up in forums like the Zdoom forums or Skulltag (not sure if it changed to Zandronum) forums... both big websites, with people that have different tastes for different niches that should be respected and valued just as much Doomers at Doomworld.

Maybe so, but I still think it was probably done for the better, that's just how I see it. I could be wrong, but with how cancerous the internet has got over the years thanks to it becoming almost a necessity all morons have access to it to spread their plague... Maybe it wasn't the case here, but still very much happens and probably always will, so I suppose these restrictions are a necessary evil.

As about your other point, yeah, I agree. I've noticed long ago that there's no more distinction between the crafter and his craft, it's the same with pretty much everything right now, games, music, movies, etc. People think that in order to truly enjoy something they must also like the person behind it. "What? This was created by X? Then I change my mind, this is nothing but trash." What gives... Slaughter does seem to become a little more popular too, but that's always going to attract only a minority anyway. And should that be the case I'm glad I'm not on their Discord.

Also fun fact, just checked this morning to see how many more downvotes I got during the night and I think the function was deactivated, for whatever reason there might be. I'm no longer seeing any reviews marked as useful or not and by how many people anywhere.

I get angry...no, like severely enraged over very dumb things.

For example, whenever I see a swarm of gnats or any flying insects for that matter, I imagine them flying into my nose or ears and become infuriated. The sound of swarming bugs makes me incredibly angry, too. Not annoyed. Legitimately angry.
