i haven't watched the video yet, but i guess this what happens when: 1. people LOVE the game. 2. people got the source code.

3. Everything, even your fridge, has a CPU faster than a 386. However that means it doesn't run as a port on everything before that. People have tried to mimic/not port on a Vic20 or zx spectrum. It's possible to make a recreation with a reduced engine.

At best those systems can handle some low detail flight simulators with very sparse wireframe graphics. I spent a lot of time with Fighter Pilot (Digital Integrations) back in the day, and enjoyed it, but it's nothing whatsoever like Doom. This is the game for those who aren't familiar: www.cpcgamereviews.com/review/2356/Even a 7 MHz 68000 Amiga can't run Doom properly, and a stock A1200 can't do much better (they made some Doom "clones" for it, but they're much closer to Wolf3D...) In fact, even Sega 32X and Atari Jaguar don't run the full game, they had to cut some things out. But here it's close enough to call it Doom. The other stuff just doesn't cut it.
