POLL: Should 40oz step down as Admin?

Don't forget 40oz who claims to care so much about this forum abandoned his position for a year, and then for another time recently. GREAT JOB ASSHOLE!

Instead of handing the admin-role off to someone else, he just let the site go derelict. People want to say I am not fit to be an admin, but at least I had the decency to give it to someone else, instead of letting it rot when I lost time and interest for it. I am sure he will abandon the site again in the future. All the people sucking up to him are going to be standing around with their thumbs up their ass, not knowing what to do.

We even wanted to make Doomkid the admin during this time when 40oz went missing, and throw him the fuck out. But obviously, we didn't have the administrative privileges to to this. Otherwise, it absolutely would have happened.

@southerncomputergeek I'm not sure if this context matters at this point but there isn't an ability to 'step down' as admin. The administrator position can be transferred to another person, which raises the question of who do you want it transferred to. The only way to step down and leave the seat vacant would be to delete the forum entirely.

I already try act by exerting as little moderator actions as possible, but that does leave everyone who participates on this forum subjected to excessive spam posts and useless content that don't interest the rest of the forum.

From my perspective, my primary interest with Doom is making maps that Doom fans would like to play. I also like to encourage Doom fans to practice mapping through the DBP. The other subforums are additional spaces where we can hang out, talk about other topics, and get to know each other better.

I am self-aware enough to know that I shouldn't expect people on this forum to only like the stuff I like, which is why I asked a bunch of different people who use this forum regularly if they would like a moderator position, in which they created their moderator accounts and I grant those accounts an ability to mute members or move them to dumbworld if they feel the member is damaging or disturbing the forum in some way. There have been times on this forum where being able to stop someone who is excessively posting was desired by regular forum members whose opinions I value. They have to lean on me to do it, and sometimes I'm not always available. I don't think it's smart to put the desired quality of this forum entirely on my hands alone.

These are not permanent positions, I can very easily disable moderator accounts. In fact, ideally I'd like to routinely transfer different people around the forum in and out of these roles so the positions of the moderators adapts to the changing conditions/atmosphere of this forum and never becomes stale.

If you have better plans for responding to Kontra Kommando and xeep, well... there was a lot of time elapsed where you could have stepped in. I think some of you guys care about this forum in some capacity so you should advocate for what you want sometimes.

I'm a nobody, just someone who plays maps. But I think the guy who created the place should have been treated with a little more respect.
