I was playing a wad that had smooth animations for enemies. Every animation seemed to have twice the original frames. The sky was dark blue and had a huge full moon. The map looked like a village near a huge lake or the sea. The water had primitive translucency and a sparkling effect that looked like a bad attempt to simulate the moon's reflection.

Neat, you should try to recreate it in the editor. It's a fun thing to do; I've done it before and enjoyed it.

I had a dream about Doom levels some day ago as well, i was in the house of this guy and we are making a pretty well detailed map sets in a Sewers/Graveyard place

I had Doom dreams sometimes, like I found some of my old WADs, and they were extremely insanely detailed like you would never beleive, and either with textures or tons of sectors I would recreate some very smooth moody shadows that looks almost like realtime raymarching or something.
