There's a huge enhancement/expansion patch that enables and finishes a load of unused content by Wesp5, creator of the classic AvPvT Doom Theme Patch.

Wesp5 recommended first playing through a normal installation which on GOG already includes some good patch, then playing though again as a different clan with the big patch.
Game has a good amount of horror and attitude to it.
Just a heads up, that depending on your character there may be a possible seduction aspect interacting with some characters, probably mostly just to drain their blood. So if you don't want to seduce dudes, I would recommend playing as a dude. Do whatever floats your boat. Just a heads up so you don't watch the whole beginning intro only to remake your character and have to immediately watch it again. If you play as a Nosferatu there's probably no seduction aspect at all.
