There's a thread that popped on DW where Vorpal and Andy Johnsen were discussing some of the cut stuff from famouse classic 32-level Doom 2 megawad Alien Vendetta. It looks they might be working on a video series with commentary where they talk about some maps that were heavily redesigned and/or cut from the project, and the crazy development process behind it. It shows there was a really profound level of dedication involved with creating this fine mapset. Posting it here in case any mappers might be interested in finding out more about AV. I certainly am. I wouldn't say we have any series planned. We both still have various unseen things, but after making those videos it seemed an underwhelming way to share (a no-commentary playthrough). I have the gear, software, and know-how to do a proper commentary with guests which would be fucking cool as fuck but honestly I don't know what I'd be able to contribute, that all goes back to ~1998 and the memories I retain of those days are mostly about highschool girls.
Sharing the actual maps won't happen (from me at least), although sprucing up a "reject" for black label is not out of the question, but I have quite a bit of other stuff to get through on that project before I start thinking about AV rejects

I don't know what I'd be able to contribute Doesn't matter man. Maybe talking about it with someone who also took part back in the day helps you remember something interesting. I seriously think it would be cool, even if it's like two grandpas with dementia remembering about how hotdogs used to be 15 cents in 1970.

Thanks for bumping this thread, hadn't seen it before and wasn't aware of these videos. I agree with Xeep, a commentary video sounds interesting.
