Everytime I'm in danger of forgetting why I left Doomworld, someone kindly comes along and reminds me. Watch out kids, never more than four enemies at a time in your DBPs!11! Would love to see how they took the AVJ + RJ in my map, must have been a field trip for them. ~snip~ I wouldn't sweat it. In this particular case, these are just marginal people anyways. Can't please 'em all. And otherwise, if the majority of people dislike a map, but the map accomplishes it's intended design goals, then that's also a success. It's a win-win either way if you frame like this. |

Just thinking about my map no where near my own computer I realized how things broke. When I put that floating linedef in middle of a sector that happens to be a lowering wall with both its sidedefs referencing that sector, its own special had nothing to do with it. The linedef to lower that wall was looking at it though with both sidedefs being the same sector, it considered that sector's adjacent next highest sector to be itself. So not only was it not lowering, but it was probably actually instantly moving up by 8. And with it overlapping the item hitbox, that's why it sent the plasma rifle into the ceiling. So that's why 40oz changing it to lower to lowest floor fixed it.
Further fixed up possibly final version is posted in the DBP bugfix thread.

The upper one "Download" is not v1.4 (it's most likely v1.0), and the second one is broken, cuz it has extra "h" on the left, and it shouldn't
