OK, crossposted it. 40oz, can you add the full link to the WAD in the OP? I know some people have complained about the viglink stuff that gets added to links via ProBoards.

You can get the direct link by quoting the post and getting the link from there. I don't think proboards allows people to get the direct link when copying it from the post.

My understanding is that the viglink stuff gets added to every link if someone visits the site while using an ad blocker. I've seen a lot of complaining about it so I thought I should mention it.

Neat, gonna have to wait a while to run through the whole thing but looking forward to it. Edit: took a look at the readme and there is a small error: the midi of map10 is not from Shin Megami Tensei, but an untitled composition by me. Edit edit: 40oz my gf was trying the wad and reported that it consistently crashes on map04 in DSDA. No access to a laptop as I mentioned so can't give more info than that, sorry.

It'll be interesting to play this with fresh eyes, I'll have to try it out tomorrow.
Adding to the list of bugs, glikkzy's map is mistitled - in the thread it's "Trial of Cthaat". Here and in the txt file it's "Trail of Cthaat".

40oz I can't help but feel like it would make more sense if my maps were swapped in their mapslots. Even with the secret fight I can't imagine "Ruins" being harder than "Temple".

There's a spelling error in the Doomworld thread, right at Eldritch.

Maybe youre right, i dont know. Truthfully I didnt spend a whole lot of time working out the maplist. Sometimes i follow harder maps with easier ones as a kind of a break for the player or a setting transition. I find steadily increasing the difficulty throughout can be fatiguing in the overall play experience, to give you an idea of any reasoning behind it.

It works if it's played in cl2 but breaks using the default settings. Something goes wrong once exiting the cave. It'll be interesting to play this with fresh eyes, I'll have to try it out tomorrow. If so, shouldn't be hard to just make another one with the right spelling. I have these noted in the bugfix thread so I can fix them later.

Guess it was a nice breather for every mapper after who worked on Zeppelin Armada too. Only played the first six map so far but really like the it so far.

Apparently the crash on my map happens when the player crosses the lines that raises the SSG which surrounds the player starts (you can idclev around to not trigger the line so it doesn't crash). Happens on all complevels above 11 including DSDA's default of -cl 21. For some reason MBF just really hates my hacks and whatever caused that is carried over to all the PrBoom's new complevels while wrong cl <11 like Boom, LxDoom etc. handles it just fine. Honestly one of the most bizzare thing I've seen in doom. Since I doubt everyone is going to manually launch through CLI with -complevel 2 even if told, I think there's 2 ways to go about to fix this: 1) I fix my map to not use that sector trick or use a more "tame" hack. Might look a bit less cool and honestly imo this is the worse approach since nodes are rebuilt and the map is modified, so it needs to be re-tested to make sure things are working. 2) Use the COMPLVL lump. idk why DBPs wasn't already using complevel lumps, or if people are holding grudges against it for reasons I'm unaware of, but this is probably the simplest way to go about making sure people use the right complevel even with them setting the default to MBF21 compatiability. Also I suggest using this for future DBPs too since it's supported by DSDA since 0.19 in 2021 (I literally can't find a DSDA build <0.19, and the only way to get something as old as 0.19.7 is only on DSDArchive.com even then it's quite well hidden), Woof supports COMPLVL, and the best thing is that it literally is only a 7 byte lump saying "vanilla", named COMPLVL and can be anywhere on the lump directory. Overriding complevel specified by COMPLVL can only be done through -complevel launch param, which people would def know they're running on the wrong cl and doing it intentionally. The only problem I can see is people running this on the discontinued PrBoom+ or PrBoom which might default to -complevel 16/17. Unless anyone messed with the infotable manually to collide lump data or have unused data in the DBP_60.wad, here's the release with an extra COMPLVL lump. dbp_60_complvl.wadHope I didn't mess anything up. Sorry for the long-ish post on something so minor plus using that trick in the first place xpp

^ i run dbps exactly with -complevel 2 in prboom+. It actually matters mostly when playtesting. In other cases it's not necessary, cuz the wad will work good in other complevels just cuz the wad should be suitable to be played with ports like gzdoom, which can't and won't behave vanilla.
This is the first time I hear about the complvl lump. Thinking by above stuff, it's redundant for our case, limit removing wads. If someone would want to record demo, one probably will use -complevel 2 regardless of exists or not such a lump in the wad

I think you should post the lump itself in dbp bugfix thread, it should be more handy this way

Music credits in the text file lists MAP11 incorrectly. It has old midi (Majora's Mask - Ikana Canyon), the new, current midi is "Sonic Spinball - Toxic Caves". I'm not sure if it would be better to post this in the bugfix thread or here, apologies if I guessed incorrectly.
