Gokuma Ah, yeah that does make it cooler that the second area is on top of the first area's tower. As it is, I don't think it really reads to the player though. Having tall, distinctive towers on the outside walls that can be recognized from above and below would help a lot IMO. I have played E2 and E3 a couple times in the last few years and even a handful of times as a kid. I just don't like them, the maps all blend together, they're ugly, boring, and I remember getting lost. When I play the first DOOM now, I skip from E1 right to E4. At least E4 has three incredible maps mixed in with the mediocre ones. Not the case with 2 and 3. DOOMlets on suicide watch, DOOM II chads are so back. Thanks again for playtesting, Lunchmeister. Will keep your advice in mind when I work on a remixed version.

I know I said I'm gonna send you the newer version of the map once it's playtested and approved by the project lead (I'm still waiting for their approval) but I wanted to send it to you anyway because I've tested it myself to make sure it's beatable and maxable and whatever (it is). I've also included a text file that'll help you find all of the secrets so you could have the full experience™. I'm particularly interested in what you have to say about the improved visuals (I didn't try to fix that flat ceiling problem you mentioned in your vid, but I added more detailing in a few areas and shit). I think I managed to fix the ammo problem though. I personally found the final fight not the most fun as I think it's a crapshoot how much damage you take anytime you have to cut through the rev horde. In a regular fight it's not too big of a deal but in this fight you end up having to cut through revenant crowds like twenty times in the fight, which is a lot of chances to potentially eat a lethal amount of missiles.

Hell yeah, thank you for playing through this again! Too bad you didn't use the secret guide, but I'm glad you liked replaying it and it seems like I've fixed most of the issues. As for the final fight, yeah it is a bit unfair but I don't think it's totally RNG bullshit. When you're cutting through rev hordes you can use those manc platforms to get a megasphere, I'm surprised you didn't use them during the fight. In my testing attempts like 70% of my deaths were due to not paying attention to cyber rockets and by the end of the fight I usually still had a spare mega on one of those platforms. Again, thanks a lot for playing my map again, I had a blast watching it!

CittyKat112Are those platforms lifts? If so, maybe they should have a different texture. I just expected they would lower eventually.

lunchlunch good point. I'll probably leave the texture as is and try to find another way to signal the player those platforms can be interacted with.

Mic quality is not the greatest in these, sorry guys, gonna have to look into that ShiroiAkumaMostly really enjoyed this but I did take issue with a couple things. I'll try to play MAP02 at some point. matadorGreat map, uses its small space and small monster count well. Couldn't find the last item.

Thank you very much for playing. I'm glad you're enjoyed it and hope you'll play other maps too someday. They are very opposite to first map, cause they mostly happening in outdoors, no boxy rooms, more open areas, roads, buildings etc. But all completed maps are big as first one, so, be ready for this. And of course i make some fixes with your video (at least there is less specters now)!

Thanks for playing, Lunch, glad you liked the map. I submitted it during the second month of development, which might be why you hadn't played it before. The explosion effect isn't barrels, it's custom dehacked explosion that 40oz added in month two of development. 40 used it in his second map, I think we were the only two to use it in the project.

RastaManGamesReally great aesthetics and atmosphere, but I found the gameplay a little flat and was a bit frustrated by the second map at times when it felt sloggy. Just reducing the enemy count and having more SSG/Plasma Rifle placements around would help a bunch with this. raddictedLoved the first map, fun fights, great visuals. Second map had even better visuals and was mostly pretty fun (particularly that basement fight) but I didn't love the fact that the final arena gets completely overrun with monsters to the point that the only way to beat it is to teleport away, camp in a closet and let them infight. That seemed pointless when you could have just had less monsters in the arena and kept the player there.
