 Hi guys, I just wanted to let you know that I belong to a Discord community ( BOOMERS DIMENSION) and we are organizing the DOOM AWARDS (which we hope will be annual starting from this year) to recognize works done by the DOOM community. You can also participate by nominating any content that you find interesting... even your own projects, although later to win will depend on the score obtained. 😉 !! I know there is a lot of unrecognized talent here, so I encourage you to join the community and participate. But I want you to know that we try to avoid controversies, so if you're going to come in and stir up trouble, know that it won't be a well-received attitude. If, on the other hand, you want to participate, you are welcome. Always good to see people doing their own thing like this. It's probably the healthiest thing for the "community" to not have all it's eggs in one basket so to speak. My dooming's been a bit light this year, so far and discord is pretty alien to me so I'm not likely to participate but glad to see it open for those who may.

hakros hey this is really cool! People on doomer boards talked a lot about a new doom awards thing, so its nice to see someone taking the initiative. I'd be happy to endorse it. Is there anything this forum can do here to support it? Like an accompanying thread or a dedicated page for it or something? edit: if im reading correctly, the results for the awards will be published December 15th. Is there any significance to that date? Seems rather close to the December 10th doomworld cacowards

The truth is that the proposal has been very successful and we have already got 200 new users in the last week and we are still growing. For now, it would not be necessary for you to do anything (except participate, you are all welcome :-)) The date has not been set for any particular reason, it is simply because we are a small team and will need some time to process the results. However, since this is the first year, the dates may change. They are not definitive. Thanks again for your support and we hope to see you there. |
