Honestly I think he could still beat Biden. This will just strengthen the resolve of his supporters. Biden is objectively a weak leader. I don't expect it to make much difference judging by the polls. Probably gets overturned anyway based on the judges goofy ass instructions having no precedent and the fact they are essentially using a misdemeanor whose statute of limitation has expired to charge him for a federal level crime on a state level. When even CNNs in house legal analyst admits it's a farce it's unlikely to stand either in the courts or public opinion. |

I've looking into the sentencing range, and he will almost certainly not go to prison, but pay fines, and other punishments. Technically, he could get 4 years per count, which is 34 in total. But in NY, there is a cap for this type of crime of 20 years. Nevertheless, since it is a non-violent crime, and he has no previous criminal history, under NY law he should not go to prison. However, it could also be up to the judges discretion. But unless he is completely partisan and insane, and doesn't give a damn about the national repercussion; I don't expect him to put him in prison.

I heard Biden's performance was catastrophic last night. I missed it because I had to go to an event. He actually performed surprisingly well compared to the other videos showing him being completely aloof. However, he did still fail, and he couldn't really muster a good counterattack against Trump. I don't think there's any saving the Biden campaign, except by cheating.C-SPAN even went so far as to begin twisting the words of some call-ins in order to suggest voting for Gavin Newsom with a third-party vote. Something like, "Wha--? Whuh--? Did you say third party? Did you say Gavin Newsom? Did you say someone like Newsom could replace Biden?" Absolutely weird. |

Craziest debate I've ever seen. Can't believe they're still trying to weekend at Bernie's that corpse around. Considering just how catastrophic the dems policies have been it makes sense that they have zero interest in reality though. Glad they're still trying to circle the wagons around him despite the obvious. It's making this whole election cycle comedy gold, providing a little levity during bleak economic times while also handing Trump the presidency which, to anyone being honest is clearly in the countries best interest at this point.

Biden's performance was beyond catastrophic. To be honest the first impression he gave was so damning that I think most people wrote him off on the first question. Surprisingly he managed to pull it together in the final 3rd of the debate but at that point Trump had dunked on him so thoroughly that it was out of reach. My instinct is to say that Biden will be replaced by July 15th but there is literally nobody who could take on Trump in a head-to-head debate on the left. Their best options would be Gavin Newsome or Hakeem Jefferies. Newsome has played coy about running in 2024 and Jefferies is the leader of the house Democrats, so I don't think he would be willing to make that move because they really don't have anyone capable of leading there. We sure as shit know Kamala is an absolute no-go.
The thing that confuses me the most is why Biden thought that slinging mud was going to be the winning play when everyone knows that Trump is the Teflon Don. Nobody has managed to beat him in that kind of contest. Dude is built for political roast battles.
