Anybody else playing this? I just beat the first six levels on HMP (there's a New Game+ with harder encounters) and had a good time. Some big encounters but all pretty manageable, at least on HMP. Nice breezy atmosphere. Much harder on NG+ from the little I played of the first map.
MAP01 - CRUIS'N UAC
Your cruise ship is attacked by demons. Lots of low-tier enemies and Map 1-style combat but it gets trickier with a cyberdemon below deck, though there's a gimmicky way to kill him. Lots of Doom cute.
MAP02 - SKELETON COAST
This one gave me some trouble because I just rushed it at first. It's much easier if you take it slow. The archvile was the thing that gave me the hardest time as he'd usually be behind a wall of meat. It's a bit of a step up in difficulty from Map 1. There's an imp that jumps overboard the cruise ship from Map 1, which I thought was funny.
MAP03 - DEPTH CHARGE
This was my least favorite map but going down into the submarine was cool. Lots of explosives and quite rocket heavy towards the end. Probably the second hardest map for me.
MAP04 - CACOTOA
Less memorable than the previous three from a gimmick or Doomcute perspective but the gameplay was really fun. Just one big arena with enemies emerging as you pick up different guns/items.
MAP05 - ARCHI-PELAGO
A parody of the "teleporting archviles at the start that you fight later" genre of map. Has the same kind of rolling combat as you pick up different items (it's another arena map) as the previous ones. The gag with the third archvile trying to skip out on the fight and steal your boat is pretty funny though I was wandering around confused for a while trying to figure out how to spring that last enemy. Probably my favorite map.
MAP06 - SEASIDE SIEGE
Has 400+ enemies but most of them are imps. Pretty easy as long as you don't let the imps corner you, I was expecting it to be much harder but don't mind that it wasn't.
MAP07 - C U LATER, SUCKERS
A nice end map with a surfing imp where you head to the building from Going Down.
