Woo the overgrown city map pack is finally here! I checked it out and MAP01 and MAP08 share the same MIDI (also D_DDTBLU is in the files twice) as well as the DM2_INT and READ_M sharing the same music as well. Thought there was going to be the Silent Hill 2 theme and Desk Lamp in the soundtrack from what I read of the past few days of development.

MegaPancakeStrategistLink updated, DBP50RC1.1 Thanks for catching that, the correct MAP01 music is now in. Silent Hill music is the MAP08 music. People changed their minds about MIDIs, there's no Desk Lamp. When is DM2_INT music supposed to play?

DM2_INT is the intermission/level clear music.
I'm really excited to see this drop! I'll check out the RC when I get home from work today. Hope everyone has fun playing, it was a lot of fun helping to put this together.

As the guy who wrote the story stuff this is really vindicating and awesome to hear. I'm loathe to compliment my own work so but I think I managed to make something kinda, and this sounds ridiculous given the context of a doom wad, poignant with the economy of words I had. Seeing something like this felt great. Someone give him a megasphere for me.

I actually can't tell if I like the original music or this one more by now. They both do things well, so it's probably good either way. But yah, I had the same impressions when finishing it the first time as Xibula did.

Laura's Theme fits the intended tone of the ending monologue (triumph, reflection, nervous optimism) more IMO, but Legendary Theme is just so goddamn wistful and almost sleepy, as if it's beckoning the player to rest after their journey. They're both gorgeous tracks and I wish I could use both somehow.

rudi the icon of sin noises should be jungle sounds. Are you using a high definition sound replacement? if so you could be loading the resources in the wrong order.
