It seems like ever since Skate cane out, no one seems to care about Tony Hawk anymore. I used to dominate at this game. Everything I know about skateboarding I learned from THPS, even though it was unrealistic as fuck. Not to diss skate, its an awesome game in its own right, but memorizing all the special moves, performing ridiculous chain combos, and rail sliding on telephone lines was awesome.
Have you any of you guys really got into this game?

Thank god, it was weird to me for all this time that it seemed like no one has ever heard of this game. When I was a kid, everyone in my neighborhood was playing it.

I extensively played every Tony Hawk's game up to (but not including) Providing Ground onwards.
I feel as though they lost the fun and charm (Underground and American Wasteland were IMO the best) and started trying too hard to be "modern" and "gritty" for the 360/ps3 era, then came the gimmicky games (ugh).
As a fun piece of trivia, me and my friends picked up skating because of this series, we sucked but it was fun.

Ahhh yes I used to religiously play the Tony Hawk Pro Skater series on my PS2 back in the day. I especially loved the 3rd Tony Hawk Pro Skater game. If I recall, I think there was an option in one of the games where you could customize your skater to look like the Doomguy
