hi we had a thread for wads that are custom level sets but now we do it with gameplay mods
ok if i had 5 gameplay mods i could take on a lonely island to play forever , i would take these: 1 brutal doom
2 project brutality 3 complex doom 4 qstuff_ultrav2-reloadedv1.2-final 5 russian overkill

Combined arms is gun mod with an SNES theme. It has 4 weapon packs, the 1st is a modified version of the doom arsenal with some really cool twerks. The second is based on blastermaster where weapons heat up the more they are fired. The hotter the weapon becomes, the more powerful the shot until they overheat. When this happens, you have to expel the heat (As a flamethrower). The 3rd class, techmonk is based on rhythm attacks and combos, it's amazing and I've never seen anything like it in doom. The final class is based on NES zelda with all the weapons, it also plays like nothing I've ever seen. It was the best mod to come out in 2021 that no one played. Combined arms V2.0 TrailerFinal doomer is a weapon mod where the weapons have been designed to aesthetically fit around map packs (TNT, Plutonia, Ancient Aliens, BTSX, Whitemare, Hellbound, Alien Vendetta etc). The weapons are balanced for their map packs and have a very vanilla feel to them. Lithium is an RPG doom mod. There are alot of RPG doom mods, but it's my personal favorite of the RPG style mods. Angelic Aviary is an enemy replacement mod that has you taking on the cute but deadly angels of heaven. Angels have high mobility and require an aggressive playstyle to survive. All angels have different attacks from their doom counterparts, but are balanced for vanilla gameplay. It can be played with almost all map packs and weapon packs. It's also my mod so I'm pretty bias. High noon drifter is a wild west themed weapon mod that just feels good to play. |
