I am currently doing something that would make history for all skulltag doom players and other doom players alike but it doesn't feel like my archive is complete wadhost fathax site had over a million files at most over the years each day and month and year files were going to that site and all hard work in those files just to let them die and never before seen again so I want people who have been to the website before you can help out for example if you have a random file called 59lostheritage sprites.pk3 or zip. You can send me it and it will go to my PC and archive on archive .org And for those ones who don't know what wadhost fathax site was you can help out too! Just so you know this is not really a vanilla doom wad thing sure there was vanilla wads on it but it was mostly focused on zdoom friendly ones that's one reason why it was so valuable to people because once the website died the files were no longer available until Wolfman and vitsim of the zdoom forums has helped me alot to gather what I have so far Thanks in advance for your help if you do help.

i like skulltag its a really good port and youre going to archive gzdoom wads right because i am making a wad for brutal doom right now and its remaking all levels in doom2 with gzdoom stuff and for brutal doom balanced gameplay and im gonna send you the link

i like skulltag its a really good port and youre going to archive gzdoom wads right because i am making a wad for brutal doom right now and its remaking all levels in doom2 with gzdoom stuff and for brutal doom balanced gameplay and im gonna send you the link Not really man sure there is some gzdoom mods that were on wadhost fathax once but now days I can imagine most of the stuff that was on wadhost can work in zandronum but if you didn't read the thread right I'm archiving stuff that is no longer available in the world not until I archive it I will make a text document worth of what I have so far except it to take a long time to finish I mean text document also wadhost fathax was basically skulltag wad data base in 2008 to 2010 until gzdoom stuff started to show up in 2011 to 2012 but there was mostly skulltag stuff coming still but it's kinda hard to explain it because I was not really in the era of skulltag I'm just a fan so to speak but I like skulltag too  |

i was trying to read the thread right but for some reason it is very hard to do i was even turning off the music ( i am listening to music at the moment with my head phones and when i do that i feel like if i use my head phone its hard to concentrate to anything ) and i was readling it a lot but i still dont understand it so i was thinking you archive all the gzdoom wads and no vanilla wads sorry , can you say what things you archive please so i can send you the correct links that will fit the description because i still cant read it correctly for some reason and i dont know why because the english looks like the same way the others write it in the doomerboards

i dont have doom 2 beta versions but i saw videos of them u have to type in doom 2 beta on youtube there you can find them Beta versions of -=FSR=- HQ, not the Doom 2 iwads. |

If I understand your purpose; you're trying to create a backup of all the files related to skulltag and Doom stuff such as WADS and everything. This is laudable. It also reminds me of the scare that happened when Tormentor of realm 667 decided to leave the Doom community and there was briefly fear of his website going down with all those custom monsters. This issue is exactly what you're trying to solve isn't it? Backup all Doom related stuff because websites go down and files/comments are lost forever. It would be most wonderful if there was an online backup of all Doom related stuff which was also very easy for anyone to mirror. This is what you're trying to achieve if I understand. Additionally, you mentioned archive-dot-org. The article I linked to also recommends using that site to backup your website. Now, about mirroring; you can use wget to mirror some of these Doom websites. |
