Do you use the drop-down console in your favorite port?
If you do, what are your must-have or go-to console commands?

I use "map" command way more than IDCLEV, and when I want a power fantasy using vanilla weapons, sv_fastweapons 2 and sv_infiniteammo 1, and "freeze", it's quite fun to use it, deal enough damage to everyone in the room, and then use freeze again to see all of them die at the same time.

We recently added 'openhome' to open a file browser in the user's working directory, which for SDL2 at least defaults to a hard-to-remember location (for some) in the AppData folder on Windows.
'showmaps' is another good one that shows all of the map marker names and level descriptions for help in warping to maps with non-standard naming schemes.

Didn't even know you could bind stuff in ports.

'showmaps' is another good one that shows all of the map marker names and level descriptions for help in warping to maps with non-standard naming schemes. This definitely sounds useful. Thanks for the note. Didn't even know you could bind stuff in ports. Yes, surprising to me how many custom binds there are and how popular they are. I really had no idea. Seems like a big feature to miss from the PrBoom* port family.
