We made a Xmas map. 22 maps from 21 different mappers of all skill levels, featuring the textures and sprites of Doomkid's Doommas (and some extra's) and of course, plenty of Xmas music and decorations.
My map is map01: Mall Santa. A SSG map set in a fully decorated shopping mall, with plenty of stores and doomcute to explore.

That's nice! For a second there I thought I read that all 22 maps were in a shopping mall. Now that would drive people crazy worse than actual Christmas shopping.

Very creative! Loved the blue and red ceiling decorations you had everywhere and the attention to detail in the doomcute (which includes the whole warehouse of storage goods in the background too)! Wish there was a bit more ammo and a chaingun (didn't find one) but yeah good map!

Maybe next year? Very creative! Wish there was a bit more ammo and a chaingun (didn't find one) but yeah good map! Thanks! No chaingun cause I wanted to force the player to engage from up close and keep moving. The chaingun would have made the combat kind of stale. Video 2 and 3 are up on my channel. These maps are mostly made by novice mapmakers, though map 3 is a Tyson map. Map 9 is where the difficulty and quality of the levels start ramping up. |
