I would but not at too young an age because I don't want to risk any Daisy bunny related incidents and/or a stunted development beyond that if they have the desire to UV-MAX Doom 1 and Doom 2 or even, God forbid, Plutonia before the age of 5, yeah? My children should be better than me dangit lol. I'll probably end up sharing it eventually anyway since I think I'll have Doom with me for my whole life but I refuse to raise a Doom addict.

Somewhere around the age of 7 is probably a good age to introduce Doom.
Also, they are unlikely to become Doom addicts given that they will probably play other games to socialize with their friends at school. I would rather watch out that they don't become MMO addicts instead, and make sure they do their homework.

My parents were fine with letting me play GTA 3 as a toddler so I'm sure Doom would be fine. Hell, I could even make them play the master levels as a punishment if they misbehave.

Eh, I played it around age 6 or 7 and I turned out OK. Playing Doom with family is a wholesome activity.
Also Peerdolius just made me feel old.

Would you let your children SUCK MY (content removed)? (provided they are above the age of consent and express consent to such an act beforehand, of course.)

When my mom would leave to work graveyard shifts, my dad would let my brother and I stay up and play DOOM. We were like five and six. We thought it was scary but still loved playing it. We turned out, well, not fine, but normal enough.
That being said, trying to force your nostalgia on your kids isn't going to go smoothly. Zoomers are gonna want to play Fortnite or whatever their friends are playing. They're going to look at those ancient pixelated graphics the same way most young kids look at black and white movies. You're better off trying to play a modern game with them. If they see you playing DOOM and they're interested, that's your chance. Otherwise just let them be.

But if I was ever to be a parent I'll do my best to make them stay away from those P2W bullshit. Also speaking of graphics, it's subjective but that's a topic for another day. and make sure they do their homework. You what

I'd let my (hypothetical) children play Doom if they'd want to, maybe from age 10 or so. But I wouldn't push it.
I would rather have them play Minecraft

I play Doom since i had 4 years old. And aside from a cannibalistic fixation with toe fingers, i am a pretty cool dude So yeah, any age is good for start playing this game. On a serious note, i always dreamed of having a gaming room with tons of consoles and games. Pretty much like some youtubers have. Obviously, that room would be sealed for the kids. That where daddy works

Definetely. But only after my kid's imagination had been nutured with the escentials; classic literature, myths and folklore, quality music, the Bible, good ol' movies and/or cartoons that depicts actual human life with his potential triumphs and failures (to better ilustrate the responsabilities/consequences of one's action) while also doing my best to gatekeep my kid's mind from modern "entertainement" which insist in only presenting deformed realities that can only exists in the realm of the abstract, yet are constantly been shoved down the troaths of everyone by souless morons just to confuse the spectarors' mind (much like Xeep's pinaple-flavored cum from his tremendous (content removed), it's disgusting).
So, you know, the basic stuff to feed his mind with nutritive content and hopefully prevent this "human project" from corrupting itself so easilly and fallin prey to vices, ideology, cults, doctrines, his parents own mistakes, etc. And if the worst happens, at least he or she will have some instrument to overcome the situation and even when it's not enough, well i'll be there to help the fella - it's the best any parent can do or offer, really.
Back to Doom. If the kid shows maturity enough to deal with fictional/cartoony violence and, off course, some interest for games; Doom is not only be the best FPS experience for the youngster (that's an empiric fact), but also a hell of a complementary form of entertainment to assist the young mind in developing a healthy ego. Doomguy's arc has some basic values in a very compact and not-so expositional way, both in-game and as a story premisse: you're playing as a soldier that confronts a superior after refusing unjust orders (you're part of a system and are exposed to his corruption), then he is punished by the secular fucktards (standing your ground and dealing with the consequences); find himrself against insurmountable odds caused by a greater force (self explanatory). He doesn't opt for sit in his cell ready to give up or joining the demons (adressing his place on all of this and finding the best possible course of action to overcome it, not giving up, nor betraying his own); nor taking his own live in the face of this adversity (recognizes the value of his own existence and as a agent force, plans to solve the problem). He ends up fighting for survival and eventually risking his own life not only for the few human lives left but to venture at the belly of the beast to save the rest of his kind and destroy the source of evil (self sacrifice and fighting the good fight). It has the basics but it's overall the best "almost non-existing history" compared to his contemporaries shooters. None of that pagan faggotry of Heretic/Hexen, no narcissistic anti-hero crap from Duke/SWarrior, no "evil vs evil, while killing innocents just for the fun of it" from Blood - no modern relativism to confuse him about the hellspawn motivations (redefining evil as 'alien'), none of that revolutionary "we can change the world!" garbage, none of that "turn the other cheek" nonsense from gnostic propaganda (depicting christians as cowards/blind slaves).. none of this shit that's constantly present in modern storytelling. Doomguy's motivation it's jut plain and simple survival fueled with purpose (surely an atheist would save us..). In other words: i know Good, i know Evil and i'll fight fire with fire if needed to. It's good shit and fun as hell. In terms of FPS, Doom is the best example for kids. It's the ultimate tr00 christian simulator, ironically developed by atheists (and a mormon) and maintened mostly by gnostic anime lovers.

Come to think of it, it wouldn't be a bad idea to get them into playing Stalker. Seeing how things are in the world right now, it'd be smart to prepare them for life in the zone.

Yeah, turn guns on your government is a good morality lesson. I approve. We need a whole squad of Doomguys to solve modern world problems and is good to know that someone is commited to raising yet another one.

My son was playing at 6 and making maps at 7. They were at least better than my first maps at 14 when doom came out.

If your kids end up registering on DW, would that count as ban evasion?
