I'm on the lookout for WADs featuring the leitmotif featured in Icarus outside of TeamTNT's WADs. I don't know if I have them all but I'd like every MIDI featuring a similar melody or would just fit in a WAD like Icarus or even Daedalus. Is it to eventually put something together using those I like? Of course!
So far I have: The Darkening Episode 2: MAP22 Jeremy Doyle's Quarry Remix for THT: Threnody MAP14 (though a lot of Jeremy Doyle's MIDIs would be suitable since he did compose for the original Icarus) Disjunction: MAP11 New! Hell Revealed 2: MAP05 ---------------------------------- Unrelated MIDIs that could probably fit: New! STRAIN: MAP14
If you see I'm missing something don't assume I know what it is and please let me know of the obvious MIDI treasures.

I don't know if there are more midis using the same leitmotif. I remember reading a thread like this on Doomworld.
But if you want midis with some musical cues repeated from other midis:
STRAIN map02 use parts of the original Demons on The Prey by Bobby Prince.
STRAIN whole soundtrack is something worth to revisit as its wonderful.

The map01 midi of Icarus uses The Demon's Dead melody at the end, so I guess it counts as an Icarus-esque midi.

What is leitmotif?
Not sure if this is on topic but icarus.wad MAP02, MAP07 and hr2final MAP05 all have pretty much the same melody.

its a musical phrase that is repeated through a whole work. Richard Wagner, the german composer, use it and refined it. As of today, its a pretty common technique to create cohesion on a whole concept. For example: Nine Inch Nail's The Downward Spiral has Piggy as second track, and part of it melody is repeated on other tracks with different instruments. Most notably on Ruiner, where it is not only the melody, but also the lyrics that are use as leitmotif.
