 Hi everyoneFirst of all I apologize if this thread does not go in this forum.
DESCRIPTIONI have created this application for Windows to manage all the classic DOOM games, as well HERETIC and HEXEN and to be able to launch the games using mods, addons and community maps in a comfortable and simple way. This new version includes its own content explorer that allows you to download new contents easily and free from the official website with a complete selection of the best mods and addons from the DOOM community, and of course you can add your own content downloaded from internet. For example you can download all doomer boards projects...  !! this sounds pretty cool! When i eventually find some time to recreationally play doom id like to try this. the Random Game feature looks cool
is there a way we can easily streamline our monthly doomer boards projects to your platform so players can get it easily?

When i eventually find some time to recreationally play doom id like to try this. the Random Game feature looks cool is there a way we can easily streamline our monthly doomer boards projects to your platform so players can get it easily? The upload process to the server is manual (for now), but always that you have new contents that you want to upload, just tell me here though this thread or with pm and I will upload it so that it is available to everyone. I've uplodaded all projects even the last one DBP37: AUGER;ZENITHAlso storage space is not a problem (for now) so I can storage any content (mod, addon and map). This way they will always be available through the program. |

hakros Shortly after every DBP release, I post a link to the release thread at the top of our Doomer Boards Project Archive page. (found in the toolbar at the top of this forum) Might be good to check once every 30 days to see what's new. We release our projects on the 1st of every month

40oz, sometimes releases get delayed, so maybe a more frequent check would be reasonable. Until the tool gets very popular and creates a lot of load... does it create much load by the way? That might be handled like a static page, correct? I would definitely find a way to optimize it, the only things standing in the way is the bar with "Members", "Profile" and the like and theme which is different for different people. Well, in fact I would just make static page outside of forum engine completely, like Cacowards pages on Doomworld. Then even if it was dynamically generated but infrequently updated, the reverse caching proxy would take care of it and make it being able to serve to hell of a lot of people checking on it once.

hakros Trying to connect to the server returns an error message "unable to contact with server." I do have a working internet connection otherwise you won't be reading this post. Any help?

It's strange but just this week someone has reported the same problem to me. Try to run the program as admin and/or check your antivirus and firewall because maybe are blocking the connection to the server. |

Tried it, disabled firewall and ran as admin but doesn't work yet. Does it have to do with the fact that I'm using Win 7?

Hi again guys, sorry for the late reply.
I was testing the downloader on different computers and had no problems.
Your connection errors must be related to the firewall or antivirus that could be blocking the connection.
Because, besides, nobody else has reported problems to me.

This looks amazing! I'm gonna give it a spin and see if it's worth switching over from hobomaster's Doom Launcher. It certainly looks easier to navigate from looking at the screenshots at least |
