When playing a new level for Doom, do you ever have those moments where an insane trap and circumstances that you didnt expect happens to you, and you're prompted to panic and make some crazy improvisational moves, escaping either without taking any damage, or escaping taking enough damage to survive? Especially crazy when it's technically impossible to reproduce with even the smallest window of RNG reliability.
I just had one of those moments happen today, of course, with no proof or documentation. An insane trap involved hell knights, revenants and an archvile. I took a hit from the archvile, launching me towards oncoming hell knights, who then melee scratched me in midair. I dipped around, firing my super shotgun at the archvile, pain stunned by my remaining three SSG bursts. meanwhile I'm making slight jukes between crossing revenant homing missiles wrapping around the room during the archvile fight. I kill the archvile and I'm being closed in by the remaining monsters. I slipped between the swinging punches of revenants on either side of my character model's hitbox, and weaved perilously through the hell knights to the other side of the small room. I cleaned them out with a rocket launcher in the nic of time, just before they could get close enough for me to eat even the slightest bit of the splash damage. I managed to escape with everything dead and 1% health.
How in the fuck did i pull that off with no preparation? That feeling rules.

Occasionally. Low-key, but I'd liken the sensation to nearly crashing the bastard car because of ice / other lunatics on the road. Skating on the edge of that catastrophe, *somehow* pulling a 1337 360 to avoid it... suck it, God, you'll have to try harder than that to fucking murder me.
