(RAMBLE5) I am not an artist. Let me get that out there. Unfortunately, when one has (essentially) a "/newstuff" project but needs textures to begin working, one does not simply go out and post "Hey, artists, I'd like some stuff!" on Doomworld, and so I turned on the GIMP and began to work. It's a slow process, of course, but I feel that before I can ask for help (ie, someone else to do it), I should have at least a representative body of work. This thread is intended mainly for feedback as I plod along. Stage 1: Bits and pieces So far, I've been assembling chunks of things, creating patches and the like. It's nothing too special, really: Attachment Deleted + Attachment Deleted = Attachment DeletedAs you can see, it's basically "assembly" more than "art", though I did hand-draw that fancy, mathematically-perfect hazard panel. That style of work looks pretty easy to imitate. Would you like some help/donations? Usually with just a few bits and pieces you can make a ton of textures.
