valkiriforce Looks top-notch to me! Loving the height variation, lighting variation, and just general flow of what I've been seeing of this from you. Probably not the type of compliment to usually give but it's a good one to receive to me. @segfault You had me at "tacticool" and "environmental storytelling" so your crisp set of maps sounds really nice. Retexturing them all with OTEX sounds like a huge waste of time though IMO.

@segfault, they are very good without OTEX already. If the objective of being "modern" and "realistic" is discarded, these can be perceived as a winner Doom levels done with OG textures. For fans of vanilla style, converting them to OTEX may even be seen as a loss.

valkiriforce @segfault Great-looking screens. I appreciate vanilla DOOM a lot, and most of the time use source ports only for the higher resolution. 320x200 looks really pixelated on modern LCDs, whereas on my old 14" CRT (the first display I "doomed" on) it was completely fine.

Currently it's just a collection of 3 semi-finished limit-removing maps that I'll possibly release some day if I finish enough maps.

worriedidiot The sewer does look nice. Too much flat open space in the bottom two screens though. Break up the floor elevation. That canyon could have shotgunners/imps up on ledges in areas. You could also add pillars/towers in the center that the player can use for cover.

worriedidiotLooks really cool! I like your texturing. In that third screenshot, that looks really painful, though! Lots of bullet enemies and presumably only a pistol to kill them with! That main canyon area is very flat and doesn't have anything to use as cover. I suspect players will be taking a lot of damage from that! Actually looks like lunchlunch mostly covered it.

lunchlunch 40oz Thank you, guys! Wasn't expecting actual feedback lol Now that I look at it, that canyon fight really is... unfun. You do get a secret blursphere and a chaingun but that might not be enough. I'll take your guys' recommendations into consideration. Also, not surprised it looks flat. Visually, designing floors and ceilings has always been a weak-point for me.

Making some progress with the hottest icy map of my set. Trying to include some intentional asymmetry and slight inconsistencies in room shapes. The gameplay might be extremly boring though.
