In this video, I compare DOOM 2016 and DOOM 1993, and criticise their mechanics, level design, and story. I truly adore this series, and while I don't think anyone can do it justice in a YT video, I believe I've created a decent project. Of course I'm still trying to improve, and try different styles, so if you have any constructive criticism, please feel free to tell me.

I just got around to watching this last night. Not bad! Though as a pretty massive Doom nerd I did see a lot of common doom facts and id software quotes repeated here that I've heard many times before, and having played both games I did find the information and opinions pretty neutral or at least consistent with general opinions I've heard about both games. The jokes probably could have been punched up a little too lol The video is edited well and I like the talking hat mascot you used for yourself. What I feel it lacked in substance, it showed in goood quality video making and editing work.

Very good video and clearly a lot of work invested in it. I enjoyed both games, each in its time, and agree with most of your analysis.
One observation on the difficulty on the original DOOM boss battles - they really are a piece of cake during continuous playthrough, which is how most players will get introduced to them the first time. However, from pistol start they can provide adequate challenge, especially the Spider Mastermind one. The Cyberdemon battle is also bit trickier when you are forced to use the rocket launcher instead of plasma, considering all those lost souls flying around.
Comparing the enemy roster of Doom (2016) to that of the original DOOM is a tad unfair, since the 2016 variant included the additional enemies of DOOM II. DOOM II's bestiary is much more varied than that of DOOM.

At first I missed it and I was like "NOOOOOOOO!" as I like to see such comparisons (I wasn't hyped with nuDoom as most others) but then I searched a bit around and found it, possibly reupload?
